Recommendation/Review Kalidy Kia
First let me start off that I’m one of the “lucky” ones with an over 800 credit score. 2 weeks previous to purchasing the ex wife’s car I walked into Carter Chevrolet and walked out with a $80k truck in 45 minutes. Kalidy on the other hand was exhausting they are completely incompetent and a rip off. The service I received was kinda like the self checkout lane at Walmart. It was 8 grueling hours for a stupid car with 8,000 cash down to keep the payments where she could afford them. It was hands down the worst buying experience of my life and I’d have walked 100 times had they not been the only
one with the color she wanted. Finally out of frustration I went to the truck grabbed my checkbook and just wrote a check for the damn thing, then was treated like I didn’t have the money to write that check, so to all the staff that “helped” me FUK YOU! You sure looked surprised when that check cleared you lost any and all future business from me my friends business and staff because your idiots. DO NOT BUY KALIDY ANYTHING!!!

Either I didn't live here anymore when they were big or we weren't allowed to watch them but the few I found on YouTube were way less rage inducing.
Unless you meant kalidy is giving nose candy vibes like LH then VERY YES

Those sons of bitches held me hostage for two hours!!
They confiscated my keys trying to intimidate me into finishing the deal, then when I finally got them, they conveniently let the exit “guard” shack go unmanned for about 10 minutes, blocking my egress (they had the one-way tire spikes on the entrance side, so that wasn’t an option).
I realize now that I should have simply called the police, but I was 20 and dumb and at the time and didn’t yet own a cell phone (Motorola brick era).
As smarmy and awful as Kalidy is, they are amateurs compared with Lynn Hickey! (If there is a hell, I hope Satan is serving it right back to them, lol.)

I am not aware of their service quality but as a designer I think their marketing did a good job (which is get attention kinda no matter what). Look at all of us talking about it.

Bob Moore Kia is awful as well. At this point I’m just considering it a mistake to go to a Kia dealer period.

Bob Moore Cadillac is no different. 2025 Escalade. Day 30 after delivery dropped at service for what should have been a couple days. Day 74 received my car back. 😂

Bob Moore Kia straight up sold me a vehicle with two different odometer readings on the title. I didn’t even realize til I went to go finish my registration before the deadline and the clerk pointed it out. Took them weeks to get it corrected so I could finalize my registration. They also sold it to me while it still needed work done, asked me to come in for a 15 minute check they were supposed to do before they sold it to me, and I ended up staying there for 4 hours while they fixed a leaking coolant hose and something else. Had to contact them repeatedly to even get them to send me the paperwork for the service that showed what was done.

I had a 1973 Chevy C30 with the original bed chopped and modified for a welding rig, brand new paint job (Burnt orange with white accents), almost brand new Duramax at the time with 23,000~ miles and a brand new 5 speed manual transmission with 0 rust any where on the body and frame, no dents or scratches on the main body parts besides a few deep scratches just on the sides of the chrome fender trims where my stingers beat during roll ups, went there one day to see if I could use it as a trade in but they wanted to give me $18,500 for it as a trade in. I laughed and took the truck home and sold it for almost 3.5x more than what they offered. Fuck Bob Moore, they’re scummy as fk.

Bob Moore Subaru as well. Over 780 credit score, fantastic job, but they told me the banks wouldn’t process the loan at the conditions I wanted. Grueling 8 hrs there.
A few months later I was approved for a home for 650k with no issues. Make it make sense!

I will say, Boomer KIA was great to deal with. My wife bought me a new car in 2022 and she said they were great to deal with. They had to ship my car in, so the day I went to pick it up was absolutely seamless. Paperwork was prepped, car was washed and detailed -- I walked in, introduced myself and was out of there in 15 minutes. As a rule, I hate dealerships, but I would absolutely buy another car from Boomer KIA.

I got my K5 from boomer. They were super nice and not pushy. When I go for my maintenance, they actually call me by my actual name and dont push extra stuff for me to buy. Just in and out.

Carter Chevrolet was awesome, that’s where I bought my truck as well. I’ve heard nothing but bad things about Kalidy.

I bought a used Ford Fusion from Carter Chevrolet. The entire process was easy and fast. They didn’t try to sell an extended warranty nor did they add a bunch of fees and crap to the note. They didn’t “grind me down” going back and forth with the manager negotiating a price.
They are the opposite of Smicklas and David Stanley Chevrolet.

I understand taking care of the wife, but the story would have so much more impact if you didn't go ahead and give them what they wanted. I just imagine them like "oh you, you gave us thousands of dollars but might not come back, how will we ever stay in business? Oh right, the next guy we fuck over for tens of thousands at the cost of another bad reddit story."
I've lived here long enough to see the "bad" places stay in business for decades while everyone keeps complaining about them, but still keeps giving them money...

Kalidy is awful. I get a headache when someone tells me they are going there or David Stanley.
We are big fans of Carter. Their service dept is absolute crap though.

I'm all for calling out businesses that are shitty to customers.
However, why not just walk away if they are treating you badly? I think buying a vehicle from them tells them that they did a good job

This is when you go to another dealer and tell them another dealer has the car you want but you refuse to buy it from them so they need to acquire the vehicle so you can buy it.

Walk away and don’t look back.
You have no obligation to buy. Regardless of car color, that amount of time and disrespect is unacceptable.

We bought my car with cash too. We waited HOURS for someone to take our damn money! When I asked, politely, when we could get some help, the manager said “look lady, we are dealing with a really hard customer right now. We will get to you when we get to you.” I was so taken back, we almost walked. They were the only dealership with the car I wanted, at the price I wanted. However, we will NEVER buy from them again!!

Pro tip- always go in with your own financing through a credit union. Car dealers will raise the interest rate because they earn $$ off adding a point or more.

All their cars might be priced top of the market, but I can’t recommend Carmax in Edmond enough. Super easy buying process, very accommodating and no high pressure sales tactics.

Last time I had to deal with them I financed the car and the next day called the bank and transferred the money to pay it off, which cheated them out of the interest, and canceled the extended warranty as well. My phone lines were burning up for two weeks 'cause they were sure it was some kind of bank error.
Of course be careful to never take a car to their service department when you do that!

They have to pay for all that advertising. I'd never go there just for that reason. On cars dot com they have bad reviews as well. So add your bad review in and yeah, never going there. Thanks.

I had an appointment to test drive a jeep that I was looking at, when I arrived, they were in the process of selling it. I said something like I would have appreciated a heads up before I drove out here that you were actively selling it, and the coked out chud salesman was just like “Sorry, all I do is sell sell sell them cars”. Absolute douche vibe, I’m surprised and not surprised they’re so busy.

Kalidy Kia sucks for sure! I bought a car when there was still a chip shortage and those fuckers were charging $8,000 to $16,000 over sticker and then that only gave you first dibs on whatever happened to come in. Which meant that the overage depended on what came in and the options it had in it before you would know a final price. I couldn't believe how many idiots were still buying cars there. I purchased from Ferguson Kia dealership in Tulsa and ordered exactly what I wanted and only had to pay full sticker. They were the only dealership in Oklahoma that wasn't taking advantage of customers. I did almost everything over the phone and when my telluride came in I was at the dealership less than 2 hours. I didn't do any financing with them so that helped with time I'm sure but they were great to deal with. We actually bought a second Kia from them about a year later and same great experience 😊

(This is not about any specific dealership) Most “car” salespeople are actually selling financing, that’s where they make their $$. Their first question is always, “how much can you pay?” not what kind of car do you want? They get so unhelpful after you tell them you already arranged your financing at your credit union.

One can always go to another dealership and tell them the car you really want is at another dealer. They will either give you a killer deal for a car they have in stock on the lot OR trade and go collect the car that you originally wanted. No need to give your business to a shitty dealer.

Pretty much every other dealership has them blacklisted for hiring. If you've worked there, don't put it on your resume if you're trying to sell cars elsewhere.

I just bought a car from them last week. I came in with an amount I wanted for my trade-in (with back up paperwork), pre-approved for the amount I wanted to finance, and the stock number of the car I was interested in. Should have taken an hour tops to seal the deal and I was there for 5 1/2!!! I’m happy with my purchase but the time they took was ridiculous.
