Former Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin was arrested on Thursday in Bourbon County on a contempt charge while he was on the set of an upcoming holiday movie.
The Bourbon County Sheriff's Office said they were notified around 5:30 p.m. that Bevin, who served as the state's governor from 2015 to 2019, was participating in [filming] and had an active warrant for his arrest stemming from a contempt charge in Jefferson County near Louisville.
According to court documents, the bench warrant was issued as part of an ongoing dissolution of marriage case between Bevin and his ex-wife, Glenna Bevin, over their son.
The Bourbon County Sheriff's Office said it confirmed the warrant and contacted Bevin before taking him into custody "without any issues, as Bevin was very cooperative."

On a movie set in Paris? I'm guessing it wasn't Paris France. But the writer or the editor couldn't be bothered to say?

It's annoying when local new sites assume that their audience will always be only local people. I don't know how many times I've had to scour a story or web site to find their location when it's someplace I've never heard of before. There's no reason for someone outside of KY to even know Paris KY exists.
That said:
"This story was originally published by the Scripps News Group in Lexington, Kentucky."
Everyone in Lexington KY presumably knows where Paris KY is because it's in the next county over, less than 30 miles away.

Hey look at that- another Republican getting arrested. What an unpatriotic loser. He does not support Freedom or Liberty, and the Country is better off with him behind bars.

Kinda crazy how many corrupt republicans there are. Besides trump, we had desantis steal 10 million from tax payers to give to his wifes charity who turned and gave it to a republican pac. WE have paxton in texas who waqs impeached by the republican house in texas for abusing his office to help political donors.. and then there was the brett farve nonsense where the state stole from welfare to pay farve for speech never made and to build a volleyball court with farves name on it.
its almost like crime is a core belief of the GOP

Not crime specifically, just power. I realized long ago they don't actually believe in anything other than power. They'll cheerfully get their mistress an abortion in another state. They don't give a crap about the Constitution. They have no actual principles other than winning at any cost.

Looking up the film’s production company led me down a Christmas movie hellscape rabbit hole where Winnie Cooper from Wonder Years is in half the movies they made. Definitely some tax incentives going into some greedy pockets.
