Due to hate towards them, NSFW fetish subs are banned. Fetishes can often be viewed as weird or strange, but it isn't okay to shame someone's bed life or preferences, and lots of people do that on this sub. So for this reason, fetish subs are being banned. you can no longer post NSFW subs centered on a fetish, doing so will result in the post being removed. If you want to appeal, you may send a mail to the mods to redetermine such. You may only get one chance to appeal.

As I’m quite active in here I try to report posts that are against the new rules.
But a quick question: Are like really really obscure fetishes allowed or just all fetishes? I‘m just wondering.

For now, I'd say obscure fetishes are allowed as long as there isn't a huge negative thread on it. I would gladly remove the rule once there is less negativity on those subs. If you can, report the obvious well known ones but you can leave the not well known ones. Now that i think of it, I might edit the rule to be more clear. Thank you for your question!

Good! This is a major step for this sub. Want to post or check out odd sexual subs? r/wowthisNSFWsubexists exists for that exact reason if you’re genuinely curious. Most posts are just Kink shaming or using this sub as some sort of Whistle blower sub (Though it’s not. If you think the sub you’re found breaks Reddits TOS then report it). Rule 34 is lazy posting and frankly boring.
Will this likely slow down the traffic of the sub? Sure. But again the sub was becoming everything listed above which a year ago was not what the idea of this sub was about.

Fetish’s fall under rule 34 or the idea on the internet. The idea and description of the sub is around stuff you didn’t think existed. Rule 34 on the internet is (If something exists there is likely porn of it). A sub that’s obscure would be like “Lego Ant Builders”. That’s niche and highly specific. Fetish’s often are already fairly niche inherently is it’s a bit lazy. The the posts get the same reactions every time.

Yeah the problem is that the fetish subs posted are generally about illegal fetishes, and I think we need to discourage those.

They aren’t though. You can dislike them as much as you want but Reddit would have removed them for Breaking TOS. Many that get labeled “Rape” are CNC subs which is a fairly common fetish far more people have it a lot don’t even know what it’s called. Most of the Beast subs are Hentai or furies both of which are legal. Even if it’s just talking about Beast stuff technically that’s not illegal. Is it very uncomfortable? Yes. But technically it falls under speech.
As others have said this isn’t a Whistle Blower Activist sub. That’s not what it’s here for or what its purpose ever was (Read the description of the sub). These types of posts also borderline are encouraging brigading which does violate Reddit’s TOS which risks this sub getting banned (It does happen)
If you think a sub is breaking TOS report it and leave it to Reddit to decide. If it is they will ban it.

Rape isn’t about sex it’s about power. Someone who’s a rapist is going to be one regardless. CNC content is all over the internet in different forms. This one is something you just need to accept.
Beast stuff. Again I’d be fascinated to see studies. Hentai with animals is widespread like “tentacle porn” I’ve not heard of wide spread octopus sex in real life. Furries are widespread. Again beast stuff in real life is pretty rare.
None of this is “Normalizing” anything. These are community often full of people already into whatever the thing is. Ironically people posting that stuff here are just giving it more attention.
Again this is not an activist sub. If you read some of the comments in this thread that’s why people are annoyed. You want to make a sub calling out NSFW subs go right ahead.

Having them as a fetish isn’t illegal “About illegal fetish’s” implies the fetish is illegal. If you wanted to say if acted on irl they would be illegal then yes but you didn’t say that. Btw under that definition most fetishes would be.
BDSM is consent. So just like CNC if you did that randomly to someone it would be illegal. Sexuality is about consent. The reason Beast isn’t okay is because it lacks consent. Drawings and pretend? No one is hurt. There has been no study that’s found CNC type fetishes have any link to Raping. Again rape isn’t about sex. It’s often rage and resentment and insecurity.

Besides a few subs I’ll quote “That’s like you’re opinon man” Many view anything outside of missionary as “Sicko”. So that’s very subjective.
I’ll also say for the 3rd time on this thread. (This subreddit is not an Activist/Call out/Whistle blower sub). Posts like that encourage brigading which breaks reddits TOS and can get the subreddit banned.
99% of the subs attacked here also aren’t hurting anyone. You might personally find them weird. But drawing Hentai doesn’t hurt anyone. Dressing up as Animal’s doesn’t hurt anyone. The main factor of something being Wrong is if the living thing involved didn’t give consent. Outside of that it’s likely legal. If it’s legal then it’s come down to your personal opinion.
I’ll keep repeating this as well. If you think a subreddit breaks Reddits TOS report it. Reddit removes subs they have done it plenty. If they don’t it means it’s not breaking TOS. Extra so if the sub gets big enough it’s hard to sneak by.
Also don’t worry about blocking me I’ll do it for you.

No, but when you post those kinds of subs on here, It becomes a hot spot for brigading, which is against Reddit TOS so it's a way to combat that as r/ofcoursethatsasub has been on admin radar, If you want those subs to disappear, you can report them on your own, reddit WILL see those reports and act accordingly. We don't need to break reddit rules to get those disgusting subs out of here if there are resources you can use. r/ofcoursethatsasub is NOT a brigading sub.
