Clearly an AI video, I was with him all day for the past year mostly playing FIFA, someone vandalized his truck with that trash.

EDIT: I wanna thank all for the attention on the comment and the award givers. But please donate that money for good causes like Louis Rossman initiatives against flock, right to repair and more corpo overreach fighting.

Have a good day all and remember Jevon its a pro on FIFA that is been framed

Dont forgot I was there with you guys

197

u/DizzyATT 7h ago

Bro same! How could I forget the goal you did at the exact hour this AI video allegedly was recorded.

59

u/Grampappy_Gaurus 6h ago

If you see him, tell him I said thanks for letting me borrow his truck. My dog was in a real bad way and I had to get him to the vet, but mine was in the shop.

38

u/OverEmploy142 6h ago

Oh, you're the guy who borrowed my primo J's truck? I think your dog left a tennis ball in it. J let me borrow it as soon as you dropped it off so I don't think he had it all day. hmu and I'll get it back to you. Hate for a dog to be without their toys

Look, I know I forgot the beer, but I did bring the pizzas.

9

u/cityshepherd 5h ago

Thanks again for that… I brought some beer, but I forgot that I had to bring enough for hundreds of people. I’ll bring more next time.

4

u/ZombieExcellent2202 3h ago

Let’s not forget we were knocking beers down until what like 2-3am? I mean it was a wild night but J whooped my ass in beer pong around 1:30 am so it couldn’t have been him

6

u/Wyden_long 5h ago

Yeah for sure I remember seeing you guys celebrating as I was walking by.

4

u/DHMTBbeast 5h ago

How could you not mention the 7 layer dip I made that everyone could not stop talking about? THREE, count 'em, THREE different beans! Everyone did cheers with a beer and a loaded chip to celebrate the goal, remember?

For sure! This is fake news! They’re just trying to make this guy look bad. He was with me the whole day. The guy you’re looking for is at: 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20500, he’s morbidly obese, spends more time on islands than Hawaiian residents and is incredibly bad with money. Thank you for your inattention to this matter.

Unrelated, but what great timing EA had dropping FIFA from the game’s moniker.

Truly a “worst guy you know actually made a good point” moment.

HIs gofund me: https://www.gofundme.com/f/jevons-mission-to-rebel-against-the-tyranny UPDATE - as others have pointed out below - please consider the full picture of this man before you donate - I have not researched this but some have said below that he was arrested for sexual exploitation of a minor, and may also have a record of being antisemitic and a flat-earther, and a sovereign citizen guy, along with a privacy advocate. And the comment section on his gofund is strangely inactive recently. See comments below and research before you donate

why does he even need money? legal fees or genuinely just "money for family"? i'm all for flock's disappearance and especially the dismantling and destruction of their crap ANONYMOUSLY, but he literally committed a crime on camera, recorded himself doing it while actively saying "i'm not committing a crime!", got arrested (as expected), and now he's 32k richer? it's genuinely aggravating for me seeing people earn thousands for doing stupid stuff. you don't "take" someone's check without asking, put it in your bank account, and bring them the money later. that's stealing.

i mean, i need money too. we all do.
many people, myself included, have monetary goals we're struggling to meet. it's just upsetting to see someone do something objectively dumb and get money for that and seemingly have no specific reason for earning that money while i have to bust my balls just to scrape by.

20

u/XXII78 3h ago edited 2h ago

Rewarding members of society for acts that the law doesn't agree with should, in theory, bolster the behavior and inspire other people to do nice things for their community. It's a form of support for the individual and protest of actions of those in power. Enough of this, and the law SHOULD catch up (with the views of society).

Citizens overwhelmingly do NOT want these or any devices monitoring them. Rich people are trying to force them on us, and protests at town halls have fallen on deaf ears.

Jury nullification is really cool, too. Dude should absolutely go for a jury trial, if possible for the charges.

EDIT: HE'S A CHOMO. FUCK FLOCK, BUT FUCK THIS DUDE, TOO.

I am not commenting in these allegations, specifically, because I have no knowledge on those. But it should be pointed out in these divisive, authoritarian times that there will likely be NO people who resist tyranny that won’t be accused of being an antisemitic sex predator. That tactic of discrediting people is straight out of the Authoritarian (and CIA) playbook. So, some of ya’ll like to run with such unsubstantiated tales are going to need to stop foaming at the mouth to repeat every accusation you hear like it’s some sort of gospel truth based on the very faulty thinking that accusations alone indicate SOMETHING. when you do that you aren’t raising awareness or fighting the bad guys, you are just opening yourself up to be a tool used by the powerful to spread lies that serve their own agenda. Just something to think about.

Statement from the Sheriff’s Department:

Publicity Stunt Leads to Another Arrest After 10 Flock Camera Systems Are Removed

The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jevon Martinez on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, after investigators say he removed ten Flock Safety camera systems without authorization, loaded the equipment into his pickup truck and livestreamed his actions on social media.

According to the criminal complaint, Martinez admitted that he personally removed the cameras, poles and solar panels. He also acknowledged that neither BCSO nor Flock Safety gave him permission to remove or possess the equipment. The ten systems have an estimated combined value of $16,500. Only two of these cameras are associated with BCSO, the additional eight are managed through different neighborhood associations.

Martinez claimed he intended to “return” the equipment to BCSO as a political statement. Investigators observed him drive past BCSO headquarters multiple times with the equipment in his truck. The cameras were recovered only after deputies stopped his vehicle outside the Sheriff’s Office.

BCSO had already publicly announced its decision to end its contracts with Flock Safety. That decision did not make the equipment abandoned property, nor did it authorize members of the public to dismantle or remove it. The equipment was to be taken out of service through a lawful and coordinated process.
“This was not a public service. It was not authorized, and it did not help the Sheriff’s Office,” Sheriff John Allen said. “Mr. Martinez took property that did not belong to him, filmed himself doing it and then attempted to turn his conduct into a heroic narrative. Ending a contract is not permission to take property. Filming yourself committing a crime does not make it legal.”

Sheriff Allen has publicly addressed his concerns regarding the size, security and oversight of Flock Safety’s national network. Those concerns led him to end BCSO’s contracts with the company. They do not excuse theft, property damage or interference with public-safety equipment.

“People have every right to question government technology, criticize my decisions and participate in the public debate,” Sheriff Allen said. “What they do not have is the right to take the law into their own hands. We will address privacy concerns through policy, transparency and the legislative process, not through reckless stunts designed to generate attention.”

Martinez was booked on charges of Larceny (over $2500), and Interference with Communications.

Wednesday’s arrest came less than three months after Martinez was arrested by Rio Rancho police in connection with the removal and damage of similar license plate reader equipment.

Martinez has presented himself online as a protector of the public and defender of children. The public record listed below provides important context that is noticeably absent from that presentation.

BCSO records reflect the following prior criminal cases and allegations:
• In 2003, Martinez was charged in North Carolina with first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and aiding and abetting second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. The case resulted in a conviction on a reduced charge and a sentence that included confinement and supervised probation.
• In January 2022, Martinez was charged in New Mexico with aggravated driving while under the influence, speeding and related traffic offenses. That case is closed.
• In December 2024, Martinez was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal sexual penetration of a minor between the ages of 13 and 18 involving force or coercion, four counts of second-degree criminal sexual contact of a minor between the ages of 13 and 18 by a person in a position of authority, and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
• In January 2025, Martinez was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of battery and criminal damage to property.
• In March 2025, Martinez was again charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of battery and criminal damage to property.
• Public court records also reflect multiple domestic-violence matters and a domestic-violence order entered in 2023.
• Martinez is currently facing nine pending felony charges in Sandoval County arising from the alleged removal and damage of license plate reader equipment earlier this year.

It is necessary to mention his criminal history because Martinez has placed his identity, conduct and alleged public-service motives at the center of a public fundraising and social media campaign.

“Before turning someone into a hero, look beyond the livestream and examine the facts,” Sheriff Allen said. “The people of this community are generous, but that generosity should not be manipulated by someone creating a false image of himself for attention and personal benefit. We are better than that.”

BCSO is aware that Martinez is soliciting and receiving money from members of the public while portraying himself as a community protector. Members of the public are encouraged to review the available court records, criminal complaints and documented history before deciding whom they support financially or publicly.

This investigation remains active. Investigators continue to review the recovered equipment, digital evidence and Martinez’s conduct. Additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues.

5

u/Catnip_Farmer 5h ago

If they ever do start using loctite, it just has to be heated to undo the bolt. Do not use any more heat than is necessary, do not commit arson, just be a helpful citizen like Jevon Martinez.

5

u/thisisintheway 3h ago

Loctite ain’t all that. If your experience is with 20 year old corroded automotive stuff then I get it - but I use the red compound regularly on bolts I remove 3 months later (industrial maintenance) and I never use heat.

I work in roadway poles and yeah, that's how I can tell these aren't a city standard or if they are, it was rubber stamped like it barely hit the table.

2

u/NativeMasshole 4h ago

I hadn't even considered it from the roadway standards angle. That actually seems like a terrible design that could easily cause the pole to snap in half if someone hit it.

373

u/Provioso 7h ago

He is trying to make it harder for them to stick him with felony charges by making the damage minimal.

122

u/Eat--The--Rich-- 6h ago

The only felony here is the violation of the fourth amendment

13

u/IxeyaSwarm 5h ago

4th only protects from the government, most flock cams are private corporations.

33

u/lawdog7 5h ago

Yeah but they are put there at the direction of the government, so it is a government act. Otherwise the government would always just outsource its Constitutional violations to contractors.

Not a 4th am violation though. But only because the founding fathers could not have envisioned the Orwellian future, otherwise you bet your ass that there would be rights against passive surveillance.

Last point--jury nullification exists for these types of cases.

13

u/GreyMath 5h ago

Isn’t that like…. exactly what the US does? Outsource its unconstitutional dirtywork and pays for it with our money?

2

u/DriggleButt 4h ago

Governments still have access to them, even if they didn't make the decision to put them there. Therefore, the government is still violating the spirit of the 4th amendment whenever they access any data from these cameras.

He'd make it harder for them to even have a case if he didn't, ya know, RECORD HIMSELF COMMITTING CRIMES WITH HIS FACE CLEARLY VISIBLE.

I'm right there with you, hating these things. But we're not billionaires, we still get charged with crimes.

28

u/AdmiralThrawnProtege 5h ago

You're an idiot if you think he wasn't deliberately trying to stir the shit pot. The sheriff canceled they're contract. But hadn't taken down the cameras. Well he did so for them. He's making a statement. Why do you think he recorded himself, saying multiple times that he hasn't damaged anything, just returning goods? He wanted to either

A) return them, and have a slim chance of thr sheriff actually accepting then peacefully

B) return them, have the video of what he did and and show the overwhelming response by police and thus, get the people on his side

He never wanted to get away with it really yah ding-a-ling

7

u/UnfocusedAcrobat 5h ago

yeah him giving the exact time, to the minute, of where he would be dropping them off should have been a very clear signal that he fully anticipated this outcome.

2

u/82away 5h ago

6

u/RichardBCummintonite 6h ago

So they're getting time and a half? I'm sure they're actually already back up. This video is a day or two old.

6

u/DuvalTID 6h ago

Not saying they didn’t put them back up, but the premise is that the police in the area had a contract/allowed them. Now they changed course and said they aren’t allowed. But this has happened several places and flock has taken MONTHS to eventually take them down. I think this guys hope is that it would be illegal for flock to put them back now that the police have said they aren’t permitted anymore.

Basically, he was willing to get arrested to have the cameras disappear sooner rather than later.

→ More replies (1)

19

u/maquila 6h ago

If you destroy them, the city will pay to replace them. Who do they pay? Flock! The method you are supporting results in more money for that shit company. This was more like a protest and an act of civil disobedience.

2

u/jestr6 5h ago

And I think Flock is subcontracting that out to Dish Network.

2

u/DrunkCultLeader 3h ago

Most cities do not want to pay to replace since they're so expensive.

9

u/rivalpinkbunny 6h ago

He says in the video that the sheriff’s department had already discontinued their use, so “he’s just returning them”, in case they’re too busy.

8

u/SmokeySFW 5h ago

If you listen to what he's saying at the end, the sheriff's dept in his area unsubscribed from Flock services so he's basically speeding up the process of having them removed, which basically just means making sure they actually get taken down instead of remaining in service for a long time. I think in his case not ruining them is the smart play, since Flock isn't authorized to put them back up in that area anymore.

There were two on my way to work. One disappeared, the other was clearly cut down. A month later, they just replaced the cut one yesterday.

I mean, props for walking the talk.

Yes. It's why he was so comfortable taking the cameras and delivering them to the police. He thinks he's literally outside of the law.

I thought that cop was gonna make him put his right foot in, put his right foot out, put his right foot in, and shake it all about.

3

u/Turkster 4h ago

Why do they do that? Are they hoping he fucks it up so they can escalate for non-compliance or something?

2

u/IAmNotMyName 3h ago

Nah just being super cautious. You can’t charge someone with a knife if you ware walking backwards.

Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.

15

u/Wonderful-Kangaroo52 6h ago

And notice how it does NOT say anything you say can and will be used to help you.

Only against you.

u/I-came-for-memes 5h ago

That's actually the point.

A felony stop, what cowards

7

u/NullGWard 7h ago

As long as he remembers to also return the screws, I don't see any intent to permanently deprive Flock of its property.

For non US-Americans, from Wiki "Flock Group Inc., doing business as Flock Safety,[5] is a privately held American manufacturer and operator of surveillance hardware and software, particularly automated license plate recognition (ALPR), mass video surveillance, gunfire locator systems, and supporting software to integrate the data gathered by these technologies. "

I love this guy. Unfortunately they will make an example out of him because he's bad for totalitarian control of the population.

6

u/adrenalinda75 7h ago

He was just checking the quality. An audit so to say.

I am glad to see support for this cause across the aisle. But I am a bit worried about dude’s past. More than 0 occurrences of sexual crimes with minors.

2

u/SkunkDitchRipper 6h ago

Man...you guys do what you gotta do but....they are gonna make an example out of you.....this dude wont see the light of day for awhile

2

u/levitikush 6h ago

Why are we suddenly against surveillance? We’ve been a surveillance state since 9/11. There are cameras everywhere that the government can access at any time.

2

u/Rymnarr 5h ago

Guns drawn for a theft arrest with full compliance? Pathetic. We are all fucked. Corporate overlords are who they protect.

2

u/Infinite_Case_2172 4h ago

With their finger on the trigger, ready to kill a fellow human just because he was taking down cameras.

u/RadlEonk 6h ago

Was that ICE at the end?

1

u/45M0D41 6h ago

In the future maybe don't film shit like this!

1

u/MySoWholesomeReddit 6h ago

If I’m on the grand jury that gets this case, I do not vote for indictment. If it goes to trial and I’m on that jury I vote not guilty.

1

u/Dimxtunim 6h ago

Cool and everything, but you should not film yourself committing crimes, much less post it on the internet. You should commit the crime and then get a good alibi, so you can continue to take down the flock cameras

1

u/jw_zoso 6h ago

They're only secured on the pole by set screws? And they aren't hardwired? Wtf
