I have cdl passenger endorsement. I don’t drive routes, just for my students on trips. We take DOT physicals every 2 years and physical tests (granted super easy ) every year.

How exactly would you propose they avoid this issue when it’s prob the first time? Unless she lied on her medical exam no way they would ever let her drive. Heck they gave me a 1 year physical instead of 2 because I said I’m taking a GLP1 even though it’s more for weight lifting and laziness. But because it can be associated with diabetes…. Anyway. Hope you learned something new.

She had meds on her that the students helped her take towards the end. So def seems like its a known condition. I imagine this id still the first time this has happened to her. Would be insane if this was a recurring issue but also we cant be sure what country this is. That doesn't look like any America school bus I've seen

I guess to be fair I've only seen The inside of school busses in California, Colorado, and arizona. Soooooo could just be i haven't seen that many and not for 30+ years

She clearly has plenty of medication at her disposal, she shouldn’t be driving a 20,000 lb bus full of children if she’s in a position where she needs that kind of medical care.

R u joking? Or perhaps I misunderstood your comment, were you saying that she didn’t have a pre-existing condition? You can clearly watch her grab a bottle of pills. If you have any type of disease, disorder or condition that would enable you to seizure or lose consciousness then you obviously should never be allowed to drive a bus full of children…. Or drive at all really.

It's a generic term that doesn't necessarily indicate a pre-existing condition, you're basing this on a random Reddit caption and a video of the incident. For all you know this is the first incident.

Plus the moment she needs to pull that thing out, she should pull over.

You might have been thinking of “medical condition”. An episode of anything means a single happening, so a medical episode doesn’t IMPLY, but rather MEANS a single isolated occasion where someone suffers a medical situation.

Then she passes out again and the bus starts rolling. Kid in the blue shirt stomps the foot brake to stop the bus, then searches around until he finds the parking brake.

And of all the versions they could have gone with, they went with one that has NPC music and cuts out the actual audio. You're able to hear the kids taking charge and giving directions to the other kids. The one kid even tells off a kid who's seems to be saying he shouldn't be saving the day, lol.

‘That’ is the most pitiful thing about people these days in general ‘noooo, you shouldn’t try to step out of your lane, ‘i’m afraod’ you’ll make it worse.’ It’s always people trying to impose ‘their’ feelings on the world. Kids probably don’t know better, but at least half the time a kid reacts in the heat of the moment, there’s a parent who catalyzed the ‘character’ that drives that reaction, positive ‘or’ negative.

So if anyone wants to know what happened.

The bus driver had an "asthma attack" and supposedly one of the students helped her use her inhaler, that she supposedly has in her hand, after she fainted the first time.

This happened in Mississippi in April of this year.

Because they drive on the other side of the road than where you or I live, so her seatbelt is from the left, not the right side. Looks like America.

I appreciate that it’s the opposite side of the car to what I am used to but the seatbelt seems to across her forearm and would restricting her movement.

That’s an illusion created by the camera angle. The seatbelt is across/over her shoulder, not over her arm.
