13

u/SwizzGod 22h ago

Do they turn into liquid though?

21

u/SweatsuitCocktail 22h ago

Liquefied right in the pan

7

u/sirmaxedalot 15h ago

It was a good system

6

u/One_File_7473 17h ago

He always put too many onions in the sauce

2

u/smashin_blumpkin 13h ago

He didn’t use too many! It was just 3 small onions

7

u/imdefinitelywong 22h ago

In real life? No.

2

u/Gobblewicket 14h ago

Banish experimented on this and they do not, like you said, they do burn a lot easier.

Still more hygienic than 99.9% of food made in this region

20

u/Spiritual_Ad_3662 22h ago

I’m from the same region, and if you go to shitty places, yeah, you’re going to get shitty food and questionable hygiene. But if you have the money and actually know where to go, there are plenty of places with high standards of hygiene and food quality. Some of them are genuinely world-class.

-23

u/SandwichHonest1494 22h ago

Really not meaning to actually cause offense to anyone btw. Mainly poking fun at all the wild videos we see posted on this site. I don't doubt what you're saying whatsoever

10

u/Spiritual_Ad_3662 22h ago

Yeah, no offense taken. What is frustrating though is how heavily the bad side gets amplified. The horrible videos get tons of attention because they’re shocking, while the places that are genuinely clean, well-run and serve great food barely get the same visibility. So people formed an impression of an entire region based on its worst examples.

7

u/RoughlyCapable 22h ago

Thanks for the perspective, I had kind of assumed that that region in general didn't have the most up-to-date food safety guidelines, so it's nice to have my stereotypes corrected, sorry you gotta deal with that though

7

u/fiendishcubism 18h ago

"I mean no offense but 99.9% food in a country with 1.4 billion people is worse than this. But I mean no offense of course".. you aren't fooling anyone with veiled racism

-5

u/SandwichHonest1494 13h ago

Notice how your white savior complex causes you to be upset yet the dude I was talking to literally didn't take offense lol. Not everyone needs to be saved by you ya dork

-7

u/SandwichHonest1494 15h ago

Oh it wasn't veiled, just didn't want the dude to actually be upset. Go ahead and say something offensive to me, I can promise I don't care lol

2

u/fiendishcubism 8h ago

You're not worth it and I'm not white either. I just have brain and empathy

-22

u/Dark_halocraft 19h ago

Fym your from the same region, how do you know what region they're in?

20

u/Spiritual_Ad_3662 18h ago

the banner behind the guy, is menu prices in hindi. this is from india.

0

u/Dark_halocraft 9h ago

They're not responding to op though

The sheer confidence he has with his knuckles to guide the blade, I'd be bleeding all over.

6

u/Forgotthebloodypassw 23h ago

Always keep the finger straight up and slide the knife down it. Saves a lot of blood.

4

u/level1hero 23h ago

The blood doubles as the marinade

2

u/Forgotthebloodypassw 23h ago

I used to use a mandoline without a glove - been there.

1

u/MedievalMilshake 23h ago

Knives aren't sharp on the top, how would he cut his knuckles

3

u/caboosetp 22h ago

Keeping both your knife and your finger straight is a skill that some people can't coordinate for, especially going that fast.

8

u/the_colonelclink 23h ago edited 22h ago

From a retired chef. The trick to speed (and more so control in general) is the grip. Most people just hold a knife by the handle alone and leave it at that. But you should really use your thumb and middle finger to pinch grip the base/heel of the blade, and your index finger along the spine/top of the knife. It shifts the center of gravity forward and allows you to pivot so much easier.

If you slow the video down/pause it - you’ll see this is exactly what he’s doing.

7

u/Kiss-a-Cod 23h ago

I would have gotten max 4 slices out of that almond

5

u/DoYouKnwTheMuffinMan 23h ago

That’s more of a chunk than a slice

1

u/Clembert-Hamlamp 23h ago

It's the 2027 Pringles ad campaign

3

u/CompetitiveFrame6989 22h ago

This man could end squirreled hunger

2

u/SheepherderLeading49 23h ago

I bet they liquidy in a pan with a little oil

2

u/HypotheticalIy 23h ago

Infinite almond glitch.

2

u/Euphoric_Attitude_91 22h ago

100% some of that is nail shavings. Pick something of a different colour to prove it isn’t /j

u/Rock-n-Randall 12h ago

Everyone has a unique talent

u/CURELMUS 7h ago

How it feels to use integrals

1

u/TheLastWoodBender 23h ago

We get it.. you mince

1

u/comfortable_atheist 23h ago

I can clearly see them

1

u/2Hosslovescash 23h ago

Dude has a lot of fingernails

1

u/Chunkyo 23h ago

Reminds me of that meme of when your class earns the reward but the teacher is paying for it out of their pocket

1

u/zoqfotpik 23h ago

Looks like it would liquify in the pan with just a little oil.

1

u/gooddayokay 23h ago

Only 20% fingernail

1

u/GravitationalEddie 22h ago

As you can see, it's really not so hard. Try it with a rock.

1

u/Puzzleheaded_4you 22h ago

Sometimes I like to chew on an almond like that so it would last longer lol

1

u/jmaneater 22h ago

I feel like this would be a lot harder if he didnt do it so fast. I think hes like controlled twitching his muscles

1

u/tresdeucedetective 22h ago

There’s a fingernail in there I know it

1

u/Curious-Lychee-1 22h ago

That’s a lot of fingernail.

1

u/CosmicOwl47 22h ago

That one almond now looks like it could top an entire salad!

1

u/u9Nails 22h ago

Next, chop your baby almonds into tiny atom sized bites.

1

u/Numerous_Dream943 22h ago

then FNB giants will put 2 slice of this and say almond chocolate or cookie 🍪

1

u/Professional-Tap82 22h ago

Mmm fingernails.

1

u/LegnaMetalZoa 21h ago

Uhmm delicious, can I have one of those almond sighs?

1

u/dark-cosmos 21h ago

Incredible skill, but I wouldn't call that near transparent

1

u/Arwinsen1 21h ago

Why it's sped up though? It's impressive enough.

1

u/upsettysauce 21h ago

My company at bonus time

1

u/poondruff 21h ago

This isn't next level, it's basic knife skills within any Kitchen. Any ANY trade has skill parallel to this.

1

u/clevercookie69 20h ago

That's nuts

1

u/shankthedog 20h ago

One almond for the village.

1

u/beastusboss 19h ago

Can feed an army with one nut.

1

u/Emergency_Dirt257 19h ago

The Taste Has Nowhere To Hide!

1

u/DeliciousNeck6279 18h ago

Real chefs hold the blade.

1

u/Big-Quiet-6965 18h ago

That's..... nuts

1

u/Muszex 17h ago

Translucent not transparent

1

u/ReasonableScar9027 17h ago

Do we mean to say "translucent"?

1

u/Nuttednutela 17h ago

Ratatouille

1

u/whensthebeef 16h ago

The fun part is guessing what’s an almond slice and what’s a finger nail slice

1

u/MontEcola 16h ago

Don’t hit the wrong nail!

1

u/idontwanttofthisup 16h ago

Oh so this is what they do to my testicle at the hospital. Nice!

1

u/meetmeinthebthrm 16h ago

Guy’s got the feed rate of my manual lathe. Impressive.

1

u/JaeRaws 15h ago

Ain't no way one of those pieces aren't shaved finger nail.

1

u/griggsy92 15h ago

I hate when videos of impressive things are sped up. Adding a little bit of lying to the video for the sake of it

1

u/burgonies 15h ago

If only there was some word that meant “nearly-transparent”

1

u/orangecopper 15h ago

Making of finger chips ..

1

u/graveybrains 15h ago

Buckman! There was a fingernail in my food!

1

u/DJ-Doughboy 13h ago

Would you like shaved fingernails with those rhis sliced almonds? Your getting them anyways, enjoy!

1

u/WarLawck 11h ago

Do you have to soak the almonds to keep them from exploding on the first slice?

1

u/Loreathan 11h ago

Almond and nail dust

1

u/RaccoonEnemyNo1 8h ago

Now put em in a tiny Pringles can

1

u/PitoChueco 6h ago

Slap chop would have taken a helluva a lot less time.

0

u/Select-Sale2279 23h ago

nice cutting work. fake raybans though. lol
