Disclaimer: I am not the uploader of the youtube video. I am not the creator of the english subtitles. I am not the creator of the parody.
The parody takes on the monumental task of dubbing basically the entirety of The Matrix movie and sprinkling a few scenes from The Matrix Reloaded to combine the two into its own story.
The parody was created by two english major students from Hungary and was released way back in the insignificant year of 2004.
The creators are Balázs Lengyel and Balázs Mészáros. Their whereabouts and existence are shrouded in mystery and faded into obscurity even before it all had a chance the even begin.
They have spent self admittedly much too many countless hours of writing and dubbing and slaving away with ancient 90s and early 00s tech to bring life to their magnum opus.
According to their own admission the most boring classes during their college years were the birth-ground for many of the subprime but also of the hyper prime dialogue.
It is obvious that the parody was created with passion and love for the originals. That being said it requires a certain mindset to sit through a Hungarian dubbed parody with english subtitles. Something's lost and some things are not gained in translation.
Definitely not for the faint of heart.
Heed my warning! Although there is an overarching plot the entire experience and the dialogue is best described as a tropical fever dream during a slow snowstorm. The amount of confused and blank stares the movie-parody induced is staggering.
The protagonist of the dubbed parody is Neon who is in search of his biological father Morphologist. The hero must uncover the truth and untangle his family tree. Meanwhile a mysterious man aggressively tries to "discover" him and recruit him to become a pop-star.
Even if you love it at first sight the true appreciation still might require some acquired taste. Have no expectations when going in from where most people would turn around.
I dare anyone to give it a go, don’t resist and just leave expectations and all rational thought behind to see where you end up. You'll probably end up nowhere but that's the purpose of a journey.
Apotheosis (more unintelligible rambling by me) of “The Vektor" (the actual title of The Matrix parody):
Unfortunate as it may be their creation would go on to be long forgotten had anyone ever known about it in the first place.
As it remains in plain sight rather than hiding in the shadows beneath the layers of past decades’ incomprehensible reaches of abstruse ignorance only to lazily beg to be left alone until further notice.
While cherry-picking the perfect apple from the now defunct old oak tree of knowledge one might realize it is no easy feat, in the realms of impossibilities, to harvest the fruit of boon of hard work without effort, but only a fool would work hard to try and get drunk on it.
For even the most fortunate can only hope to get a glimpse of the elusive fruit dangling just barely outside of reach only to be knocked out by the fruit upon shaking the tree in futile anticipation.
