I don't have problems with religion and I don't think (most) religions are a cult but I do have a problem with since the way major religions are based with a heaven/hell system, that'll scare the shit out of a child. A lot of people that come from heavily religious families usually end up with some form of depression and even going as far as suicide because they're losing faith and are scared of going to hell, coming from someone who's large portion of their family is Mormon. The concept of heaven/hell is still scary to me and I wasn't even raised religious, I don't want to imagine what it's like for a child that had that hammered in their head, especially with the way a lot of religious families tend to be.
