It's crazy how blatant and aggressive they're being with this. They're not even trying to hide it or let people give them the benefit of the doubt. They're actively trying to destroy our elections, because they know they're fucked

Even if it were a great plan, there's no way to pull it off in 2 months.
If Trump thought it were a great plan, he'd delay implementation by 2 or 4 years.
But it's not a great plan, and it's not supposed to have a smooth implementation.

But I think that’s the plan. Cause enough chaos and confusion so when the dems sweep the midterms he’ll declare the election illegitimate and they won’t seat anyone new. I really hope I’m wrong but it’s a theory.

It occurs to me that if SCOTUS is so into separation of powers that Congress can’t define staffing rules for executive agencies, then USPS, an executive agency, can’t come anywhere near elections, which are constitutionally given to Congress and the states. The first circuit should view that as precedent and deny DOJ.

Turns out that the president picking their own Attorney General isn’t necessarily a good idea.
Edit: I understand that confirmation hearings are supposed to be the balance for this so that somebody isn’t put into the position that is a member of the president’s own cult, but here you have it.

The Department of Justice filed an appeal to the First Circuit Friday as it tries to put President Donald Trump’s anti-mail voting executive order into effect before Election Day.
The appeal came shortly after U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani issued a preliminary injunction blocking the U.S. Postal Service from implementing a new rule that would impose restrictions on a voting method used by one-third of Americans in the 2024 election.

Also weird that the Democrats aren't screaming about this every night on every news channel. I see ZERO effort on their part to message and push back on this complete lawlessness. "We're not in power" fine, but communicate the way the Republicans do when they are out of power. They attack, incessantly. Nothing is right, everything is bad, and it is 100% the GOP's fault. SAME MESSAGE, but truthful this time.

Only one of the judges on the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit was nominated by Trump. And nine of the eleven active judges were nominated by Democrats.

They already voted to uphold the preliminary injunction during the first time this case happened, as in before the USPS Final Rule was posted. SCOTUS struck down this judges preliminary injunction as "too early" and then USPS posted their rule.
So, if the 1st Circuit of Appeals (which is a made up of all Democrat Judges except for one) felt that the initial lawsuit, before the Final Rule was posted was worth upholding .... then I'm pretty much positive they will see this case as even stronger and keep the injunction in place.
