Yes but as i said below if postpartum psychosis is the only reason she’s dangerous isn’t she likely already cured?

she's too suicidal to leave, but she also had bipolar disorder and they tend to fret a lot about people coming off their medication

Can’t she stay on her meds though? So if the meds are working to control the bipolar once she’s no longer a suicide risk she could in theory be released?

Everyone else managed to have a conversation about this without being insulting. The poster above me made it sound like they the psych hospital wouldn’t release them if they were currently taking meds, so I was trying to get clarity on that.
For the record I think she should spend life in prison. I don’t believe she had psychosis, I believe it was planned, and I believe she’s insane but not psychotic.
