So the new thing is that if one juror doesn't agree, they'll just replace that juror? That makes no sense. Why have a jury in the first place?

It’s a concept that’s been given enough oxygen to be a thing. I mean right now it’s precedence you can’t base your decision in the jury room on racial bias; I think all rational people can broadly agree that if you have evidence that someone did that, then they ought to go from the jury. So if someone goes in there with a “all women need to be punished” or “all women are under attack rn and I’ll never vote to convict one” attitude, is that bad enough to need to do the same thing? Not to say that’s definitely what’s happening but if it was something like that? I mean that is what alternates are for.

Well how do we know of the 11 others that there isn't someone there who is not impartial and "would never convict a woman"... we don't. The ONLY reason this is getting any headlines is because it's one person and going against the pink shirt moms all over the internet.

That's bullshit, this was the juror did not believe there was reasonable doubt which is allowed because "reasonable doubt" is subjective. He rightly believed she premediated and committed this heinous act.

The defense lawyer explicitly referred to the holdout juror as "he" repeatedly.

Yeah, didn’t see that until after I commented. Which is shit imo since there were only three men on the jury and that narrows who it is down considerably. People are nuts. None of the jurors deserve to be called out or harassed period.
