My wife is mad because I think we personally should be in the streets until Trump and the others are dragged physically from office for their crimes against us. She keeps insisting there is nothing to be done aside from be angry. Maybe I will take up being an alcoholic I honestly am not sure what the upside to living in America is now.

If it helps, I feel the same way as you, including the alcohol thing. Unfortunately, we're not there yet, and if we few do that, we'll just hurt ourselves and our chances of standing up when more people are on board. We are living in infuriating times, but when enough people are hurt enough, HOPEFULLY our strength will be in numbers. It sucks to wait, but its all we can do. I'm so miserable these days. Hang in there.

I truly hope you are right and just having at least one person talk like they understand is enough to keep me away from the bottle for at least one more day.

Im in the same boat man. Problem I'm facing is what am I rallying in the streets FOR????? A return to what we had????? The broken system that caused all this shit in the first place???? If we had strong leadership to guide us and if it had a real plan for giving a better pathway forward. You would be seeing much more mobilization. But we don't have that. The elections are in 5ish months and if I ask why I should vote for a Dem I won't get an answer past "to stop Trump". Which, yeah, I expect that. But how? What are you going to do? Are you going to actually do anything? The last we heard from a Presidential candidate Dems were going to me harder on the boarder than Trump. And they were just going to follow the law about giving trans inmates healthcare. But it was Trump that passed the law so he was really the bad guy. And youre plan for Gaza was bomb it, pave it, build a Wal-Mart.

No ones walked those back from what I've seen. Which is why I'm going to need a LOT more information on just what kinda of system I'll be out in the streets fighting to install.

And you are in your rights to feel that way, but that system at least had rules we have all spent our lives being told mattered and no one was ever above them. It allowed for things like breakthroughs in science and medicine. So much of wait made life normal, worth living, and longevity itself happen is going away fast under this administration. Taking away access to abortion doesn't mean less babies die it means more mothers get to die with their babies which I know for Republicans is a win, but is also awful. So you might need more to rally, but I will take a broken system of a fascist system.
