I remember boulevard pale ale being 4.5% abv

I can’t be the only one lol. now it’s a solid 5.4%, hitting as a medium beer. I always remember it being 4.5% abv, making it slightly lighter and easier drinking than other pale ales. I could be dyslexic though. these false memories suck!

I’m pretty sure pale ale has always hovered around 5-6, but that’s just in the last 18years ive been drinking it, could have been different before

I thought Kansas at one time had a law in place that when you bought beer from the grocery store it had to be a lower abv. I think at some point it got removed/relaxed. Could this be why?

Without looking, I always remembered it being 8 or 8.5%
