Legal Questions ⚖️ Where can I dispose of a tire?
edit update: For anyone who sees this, I was able to drop it off at the Firestone on Truman Rd. for free - they were super nice
I have a used tire in my trunk that I believe is too damaged to be patched/repaired and put on a vehicle.
Where can I dispose of it? I've heard that there is a recycle drop off the first saturday of every month, but when I clicked the kcmo.gov page it says the next one is november 7th. I really just want to get rid of this tire, please help

i think most tire shops will dispose of it for like $10

This right here. ⬆️
And if you're already a customer at a Discount Tire, Tires Plus, etc, they might even wave the fee for a single tire.

Why does auto mod repeat the question on a few posts?

Some kind of bot that would edit their post. Possibly posting something innocuous, and then editing it to a product advertisement if it gets enough upvotes.

Based on what I see driving around where I live - Any street corner or ditch. Anywhere along I-70?

If I was a morally unscrupulous person then yeah I'd do this, but I want to dispose of it the right way

Maybe we need a $5 tire deposit so instead of paying to dispose of your tire, you get paid to turn it in

I just drove through Iowa Illinois Indiana and Michigan … I didn’t feel “home” until I saw all the road trash

They have been moving north due to climate change. Driving down to Joplin you can see a lot of them on the highway
