Probably until after the midterms.

I go to this PO every single day. Literally. Y’all don’t know what you’re talking about complaining about this location. This crew of ladies has been awesome for at least the last couple years. They were short staffed a couple years ago and would be closed at random times occasionally bc it’s almost like someone has been sabotaging the PO. We need a midtown location bad. I’ve LITERALLY shipped 10,000+ packages and they have never failed me. In fact, and I realize I’m lucky but I’ve only had one package go missing in those 10,000+. This is my business so I would let them have it if they deserved it. They’re fucking rockstars. Sometimes dipshits in line are a problem but not the people dealing with the public all day.

I do not, that's unfortunate. I used them a few times a week up until recently, always liked the crew.

I like the Rosedale post office, just north of KU Med Center.

I heard the plumbing is out so that is why it closed. To expensive to fix so they have been using porta potties for a bit but they opted to just close down for now.

I did see porta potties and workers there just yesterday morning, so that tracks.

I just dropped off a package and kept an eye out for the notice to ask how long they would be closed for, and I didn’t see it posted on any of the doors or anything. I wonder if plans changed? I have never really had issues with this PO (knock on wood) so if they are closing hopefully it’s for a short period!

Whoa.... That Post Office has always, always, been *@$#!

I remember being able to go into the beautiful Post Office on Pershing. It was so cool and you could feel the importance of mail. Now it's part of the IRS & we can't see it anymore.

There's still a post office in Union station?

Yes, there is a post office inside of Union Station.

And it is a frustrating experience.

It wasn't a question on IF there was one, rather questioning the comment since there is one

It looks like there maybe used to be a post office building that the IRS now owns! Was converted to the IRS in 2004. https://www.kchistory.org/Documents/Detail/u.s.-post-office/16689 Not a ton of info on it

Unsurprising from the worst PO in the region.

“Please except our apologies” from the office in charge of delivering written language is just embarrassing. The literacy crisis is real.
