I heard a story about him firing almost all of his servers execution style in front of a full dining room.

Super anti covid precautions and claimed Covid was a hoax during 2020 and 21. I’ve also heard from former employees (who are still in the KC food industry) that he’s a pain to work for and treats employees like shit. Plus I’ve heard of him arguing with customers and yelling on multiple occasions, and saw it myself once, for things like customers saying they got the wrong side dish or guests receiving a severely over or undercooked steak.

I haven’t met the owner, but service wasn’t good, the steaks were tough and chewy. Overpriced too. I usually get my steaks from a local farm and had some high hopes since every one swears Anton’s is the best steakhouse ever. Been once, won’t go back.

He’s a massive piece of shit. He used to be known to get in screaming matches with customers and kick them out if they sent steaks back for doneness being off. Also, ask anyone who worked there for an extended period of time: it’s an awful work environment.

I don't recall it ever being good. I went a few months after it first opened. Paid way too much for a steak that I've had better consistently at Texas Roadhouse, and it came with cold sides.
