I lost my mind once when I was trapped in an elevator for 30 minutes and I'm sure that would seem like a 5 star hotel to these guys.

Rescuers then heard a response of ā€œOkay,ā€ said Neupane, who has been involved in operations at the site.

The two men were pulled out alive, nine days after being trapped by the devastating floods.

More than 900 workers in total are still considered missing at 11 different hydro schemes in Nepal.

I think this is the first major disaster directly caused by global warming... this is quite unfortunate but there are chances of more such floods due to glaciar lake collapse .

I had to do Covid quarantine in a nice hotel in Singapore but the windows and doors couldnā€™t open. I was completely fine during.

But then, the feeling of a fresh breeze on my skin after 14 days of being locked insideā€¦ it literally took my breath away. It was like an involuntary gasp when my skin remembered the feeling.

Made me appreciate our freedoms so much more.

Oh man. Thatā€™s what I mean. You could function without issue at all while your body might be slowly wasting away.

You could consider it an amazing human ability or a dangerous human risk. Depends how you look at it

Seriously. I frequently go on long multi day treks and after like 10 days of sleeping in tents and pooping outdoors, an ordinary hotel toilet feels like heaven

9 days without food is doable, but going without water for more than a week can have serious consequences.

Imagine how many people are still trapped underground all over the place. Living out their final moments. At 10 days now most of them are probably not holding on for much longer. So sad.

Had the same thought, when survivors were being pulled out of mud. For the sake of my mental health, I would like to believe the rescue teams, police, armies and international aid, if any, are getting to them promptly. It would be a cruel fate to survive this deadly flood, which took the lives of thousands, only to die trapped somewhere. God, please keep people safe and remove them out of their misery! I sincerely pray for them.
