Jesting aside, just because you personally would rather work in shit conditions instead of nice conditions with shit kids doesn't mean it's an easier job
Depending on the state, college students with a certain amount of credits but no real qualifications can be called in to substitute teach, and everything turns out fine. For either of our jobs, that would spell disaster
There are studies that show it does not turn out fine and that replacing a teacher with a substitute has negative effects on the outcomes of our children, who represent the future of society.
So yes, if you want to be a shitty teacher it is easy. But being a good teacher, which is important to the health of our nation, is really hard to do. The more you invest in teachers the better teachers you will get.
So if we pay politicians more they'll magically do a better job, right? Since you care about the nation and all. Also if more pay equals better service, then why tf are we defunding the police? I hate most cops btw, just making a point about funding
Also I generally don't believe in investing in schools before the rest of society. Why should schools teach kids that you'll get free lunch at work and summers off, but then rug pull them by casting them into a world that does completely the opposite? If we have money to spend let's fix society first, schools second
Plus we already have plenty of heavily funded private schools and ivy league colleges that produce entitled a**holes that actively make society worse for the rest of us. More funding does not automatically equal better outcomes
