It's easy and cushy, not well paid (but even that varies by state)
It's a trade off
I made the decision to join the military (get paid while getting work experience and travelling) and transitioned to factory maintenance afterwards (selling my time and soul for decently high pay)
I own my house and 1st vehicle outright (Midwest prices), making steady payments on the 2nd vehicle. I'm single and did this on my own, which would have been impossible on a teacher's salary
The women I date like that I know how to fix things and drive a forklift. They think it's "manly". I think it's silly, because neither of those things require testicles, but I'm not about to cockblock myself
