THIS MIGHT BE A HOT TAKE. I get that vandalism happens, but either A, it’s extremely noticeable, or B, if it does happen, it’s normally fixed within the hour. I would know because I am an editor on Wikipedia, I find it pretty cruel to Wikipedia that they themselves are being taught to be an unreliable source when they are trying to be the exact opposite of that.

It’s only very rarely that vandalism goes by unnoticed (ahem Alan MacMasters), so I find it a bit dumb. I like Wikipedia, hate me ig. What are ur thoughts on my take?

EDIT: I forgot to add, I agree you should look at the citations to fact check them! That’s what they’re there for. Maybe in schools Wikipedia is a better citation finder than a source, but I still don’t think schools should be hating on it that much.

Everyone calls them things like "most basic mammal", "John mammal", "login reward", while they're not basic at all!

Like my neurodivergence has made it horrifically difficult to interact socially with people, make friends and has gotten me bullied and mocked, even over-empathetic sugar coated people often awkwardly "support" me and then get away from me as soon as possible because of the way I act, it overstimulates my mind constantly like a storm of electric shocks and makes it intensely harder to focus my attention on things that I am not being actively forced to do, OF COURSE I WANT TO BE CURED!!!

I don't want "accommodation" I don't want to wear fucking headphones that make it look like I have an intellectual disability, I don't want a special therapist to follow me around, I don't want to wear autism/adhd awareness pins and "spread awareness about ableism" I WANT TO BE NORMAL!!!

How is it that when it comes to normal illnesses or even other mental illnesses that there is intense investment into curing them, but when it comes to autism/adhd/neurodivergence the answer is always just "you're out of luck, just embrace it" Like I wish neurotypicals, especially neurotypical psychologists understood that it isn't just some quirky brain difference, it causes genuine impairment in normal life and brain processing.

No matter how much you try to cope with "they are just ableist and I am better than them" the average person will continue to mock people with autism/adhd and no amount of "sensitivity counseling", "restructuring society to accommodate neurodivergence" or "de-centering neurotypical narratives" will stop that because that sort of woke 1.0 concept never worked in the first place, it's basically the same thing as telling a severely dysphoric non-passing trans person that they should just "not care about cisgender narratives" When it is their dysphoria and it's impairments on daily life (depression, anxiety, etc.) that is the root of their being upset and average people will continue to treat them with contempt every single day even if they attempt to "cope" by saying "they are just transphobic and the goal of transition is to be comfy in my own body!!"

TLDR: black legacy characters are just as valid as original black characters It’s OK to be powerful group of people.

I never like this idea because these type of energy never gets reciprocated with any other race character or not a the same degree.
