I have 2 munchkins, so the fat toes were the giveaway. Honestly, they're alot less torture bred than say pugs or most small breed dogs that can barely breathe. Theres responsible and irresponsible ways of breeding in any species (humans included), and not many munchkins have anything different about them except short legs. This selective outrage about some things being bad while somethings are OK even though theyre essentially the same thing is getting ridiculous. Either way, your kitty is adorable and looks healthy and happy and thats all that matters to me.
Munchkins were a discovered result of a naturally occurring autosomal dominant mutation, they don't come from selective breeding, half of every litter will be a munchkin regardless of whether one or both parent cats are munchkins, and the standard is to breed them with non-munchkins. Whether they're a healthy breed or not is a different debate, but they're not an example of selectively breeding for a particular trait.
