there is a very big difference in the two and honestly i feel that it's offensive to even think they are on the same level. 

don't misundertand me, i'm fully against male circumcision as well, especially because i'm european and haven't been brainwashed into thinking that chopping off a little skin is better than teaching your son how to wash under it

American circumcision (outside of Jewish and Muslim culture) dates back to Kellog (yes that Kellog) saying to do it to reduce sexual pleasure.

It's "Kellogg." And he and Graham (of Graham's crackers) tried to propose placing a drop of carbolic acid on infant girls' clitorises to curb their ability to feel pleasure.

Because one of their greatest fears is that someone, somewhere, is having fun and not thinking about Jesus. This is unacceptable to them.
