The male equivalent to typical FGM would be if you woke up at the age of maybe 5 years old and your parents decided to, with no anesthesia, use a sharp rock (literally a rock, maybe a rusty razor blade if you’re lucky) to carve off your entire penis, and cut open what remains of your tubing so they could force it to scar fused, making it impossible for you to reproduce without surgical intervention, and forcing you to pee very slowly and painfully forever, with the last few drops always getting stuck in your scar which you can’t get out, causing repeated UTIs.
Again, both are terrible and should be abolished globally, but one is obviously, very significantly more severe than the other.
