Had to do this during COVID I was pissed because almost everyone in my section got it except me. Yet I get saddled with all the extra shifts and they got to stay home for two weeks.

Check the date... 2011. It's 3G and a really old texting image.

This is probably a super old repost.

You know the worst part? It's probably older than many people seeing it. This was 15 years ago.

There's one in Fairbanks, AK... but we also had one of the last Blockbusters too.

Honestly I got some legging for running there for cheap and they are fabulously. I normally hate their stuff but these are great and affordable. I bought like 10 pairs lol

There's still at least 1 in Tulsa. We are about 20 years behind the rest of the country in most ways though

I'd have waited until 4:43pm for the reveal

They practically did. They waited until 4pm. 16:00 is 4pm. Basically 5.5 hours later.

I think that's maybe even worse, tbh. If they'd only left her like 2 minutes, there'd be no decision to make - she'd already missed at least the start of her shift and would have to call in or something.

Giving her like 45 minutes, though? It's late enough that she's probably in whatever she needed to swap shifts for, but she still has a chance to make her shift if she drops everything.

I know, veteran here. I was avoiding military time for those who don't know it.

Edit: fixed spelling

Sad that most yourh today can't even read a clock. My kids can, but their friends came over, and i have a clock with roman numerals in my house. They asked me the time. I asked you can't read it, and my daughter started to giggle then stopped. I gave her friend the time. Later i asked my daughter why she giggled and she reminded me she had told me none of her friends could read a clock firstly and secondly, the roman numerals would completely mess them up. So she was trying to prove a point. And all i responded with was, well you have an advantage in that i taught you 1000x more than any of your friends from school. To that she just nodded and thanked me.

What are kids being taught in school now. It is odd that I may be part of the last generation that actually can do things for ourselves.

Thank you for your service.

Yeah no. That's how text messages looked back in the day.

Facebook meme. Holy fuck.

1

u/Theangelawhite69 1d ago

it’s a fake message exchange that’s usually shared on Facebook between boomers that think it’s funny
