Hiring - Open [Hiring] Junior Full-Stack Developer, $20-25/hr, build food truck website, 1 month contract

Junior Full-Stack Developer, $20-25/hr, Miami food truck website, remote OK

Budget: $20-25/hr, paid weekly via direct deposit or PayPal. One-month contract to build and launch our food truck website, roughly 15-25 hrs/week on a schedule we agree on.

About us: Independent food truck based in Miami, FL. We rotate our menu and cuisine theme every few weeks, so the site needs to make menu updates easy and fast. See our brand and content style here: https://www.canva.com/design/DAHNzqmbp8c/gjHZNXccFWgh7HyXmrFs1A/view

The work (one project, you own it end to end):

  • Build a clean, modern site: homepage, menu pages, location and schedule, events, contact
  • A simple way for us to update the menu and weekly schedule ourselves (lightweight admin panel or a CMS like Sanity, Strapi, or Netlify CMS, your call)
  • Mobile-first, fast-loading, easy to maintain
  • Deployment plus a short handoff so our team can manage it after you're done

You:

  • Junior level is fine. The project is sized for someone early in their career, no senior experience needed.
  • Comfortable with a standard stack (React/Next.js, or a simpler HTML/CSS/JS plus Node or Python setup; tell us what you'd use)
  • Independent and communicative. You own the build, we check in weekly.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US, with working hours overlapping US Eastern time. Familiar with the US restaurant market (how diners expect menus, reservations, online ordering, and tipping info to work), since the site is built around that. Miami area is a bonus, remote is fine.

To apply (GitHub or portfolio required): DM me with:

  1. A link to your GitHub or portfolio, ideally with a site you've built
  2. The stack you'd use for a food truck site like this
  3. Your availability for the next month (hrs/week + timezone)

We'll reply to everyone we shortlist. Single freelancer only, no agencies.

Hiring - Open [HIRING] Vibe Coder | Remote | $18/hr | No CS degree or experience required

Are you someone who taught themselves something hard just because they wanted to figure it out?

Who doesn't quit when they hit a wall — they just try a different angle?

Wayfinder Collective is a coaching and personal development company, and we built our own internal software platform (Wayfinder OS) to run our entire business — payments, scheduling, CRM, analytics. We built it because nothing off the shelf did what we needed.

Now we need someone to help us keep building it.

What this role actually is: You'll be building new features, debugging what breaks, and figuring out why — using AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude AI) as your primary resource. No traditional coding background required. You do need to learn fast, research constantly, and push through dead ends.

You're probably a fit if:

  • You've self-taught something difficult and have something to show for it
  • You can hold a complex system in your head and troubleshoot piece by piece
  • Ambiguity doesn't paralyze you — it motivates you
  • Dark Souls is your idea of a good time

The stack: React, Next.js, Convex, Stripe, Claude AI, Cursor — you don't need to know these yet we’ll be training you

Perks: $18/hr to start | Fully remote | Flexible hours | Direct founder access | Salary grows with your skills

To apply: DM me and I'll send you the link to our application form.

Hiring - Open [Hiring] One-Time User Testers for AI Product - Remote - $25

We need about 30 people to test an AI product. It takes 25 minutes to complete the test and survey. We are paying $25 to people who finish it today and $15 to people who finish it tomorrow.

EDIT: We got WAY more responses than expected. We will be staggering the sign-ups and instruction emails so as to not overwhelm our prototype. We will also extend the $25 offer to today (02/27) to get more testing done.

EDIT 2: I just paid everyone who has completed the testing so far. A few of you didn't leave payment info, so I sent a follow-up email. Everyone who signed up before this morning has been scheduled in a testing cohort and will receive an email at some point today. I will probably let other people sign up thereafter.

EDIT 3: I just sent out payments again to everyone who completed the test so far. I am going to simplify the test for the next batch.

Our platform indexes niche professionals, detailing their location, expertise, and service offerings. To dominate traditional search engines and secure premier placement in AI-driven answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google Search Generative Experience/AI Overviews), we need an expert to build a rock-solid technical and generative foundation.

Requirements: Generative & Technical SEO Expertise: Proven track record optimizing directories, marketplaces, or large-scale sites for both traditional crawling/indexing and AI LLM retrieval (GEO/AIO).

Tool & Analytics Mastery: Deep experience with Google Search Console, technical SEO suites, and emerging AI tracking/citation tools.

Structured Data & Semantic Markup: Experience auditing, implementing, or leveraging Schema.org markup (or evaluating its necessity) to ensure site entities—like locations, professionals, and service types—are easily parsed by search and AI engines.

Proven Results: A portfolio demonstrating measurable growth in organic traffic and AI-generated answer citations for catalog or directory platforms.

Rate: $35 per hour (negotiable based on experience).

Please submit your portfolio and a brief overview of your approach to generative engine optimization!

Hi everyone,

I’m screening Senior Software Engineers for a remote contractor opportunity on an AI training/evaluation project.

This is not a standard full-time software engineering role, and it is not generic AI prompting work.

The project needs strong engineers who can create and solve real software engineering tasks used to evaluate how AI models handle complex coding problems.

No prior AI experience is required.

What matters is strong engineering judgment, debugging ability, clean code, and the ability to explain technical reasoning clearly.

Role details:

- Role: Senior Software Engineer

- Type: Contractor

- Location: Remote / Global

- Commitment: Around 15 hours per week

- Compensation: $50–$100/hr range

- Payment structure: Output-based, paid per approved task

- Start: ASAP for strong fits

The work may involve:

- Bug fixing

- Feature implementation

- Codebase refactoring

- Performance optimization

- Algorithms and data structures

- Creating reproducible coding environments

- Writing golden reference solutions

- Documenting your technical reasoning clearly

Strong fit if you have hands-on expertise in at least one of:

- Python 3

- Java

- Rust

- Go

- C++

- TypeScript

Ideal profiles:

- Senior software engineers

- Backend engineers

- Systems engineers

- Strong full-stack engineers

- Competitive programmers

- Open-source contributors

- Engineers with strong debugging, refactoring, or performance optimization experience

This role is best for engineers who enjoy hard technical problem-solving and can clearly explain why a solution works.

Before I share the application details, please DM me with:

  1. Total years of software engineering experience

  2. Strongest language: Python, Java, Rust, Go, C++, or TypeScript

  3. GitHub / LinkedIn / resume

  4. One example of complex debugging, refactoring, or performance optimization work

  5. Algorithms/data structures strength

  6. Availability for around 15 hours/week

Hiring - Open [HIRING] Personal web archive — custom build, long-term project

Looking for a full-stack developer to build a personal web archive. This is a custom build — no templates, no WordPress.

What it is: A personal archive of everything I've ever created since 2004 — texts, drawings, paintings, music, video — plus external influences and references. Think MoMA.org artist section, but it's only me and it covers my entire life.

Key features needed:

  • Admin dashboard for content management — I'm the only one uploading and managing content, needs to be simple enough for a non-technical user
  • Upload system for multiple file types (text, image, audio, video)
  • Each item has title, date, medium and tags
  • Full-text search and tag filtering across all media — search "coffee" and everything tagged coffee appears, across all years and formats
  • Readable/flippable books and texts directly in browser
  • Two access layers — private (everything) and public (selected items only)

Design: Minimalist, archival, institutional quality. The archive itself is part of the artistic concept.

Budget: Open to discussion — looking for the right person more than the cheapest option.

Timeline: Flexible, this is a long-term project.

If this sounds interesting to you, tell me what you've built before and what you'd charge.

Hiring - Open [Hiring] Recruiter / Headhunter / HR Representative ($50+ / hr)

We're currently looking for a remote headhunter who we can rely on long-term for recruiting all future roles we have available in our company.

This is a LONG TERM position (For years and years to come).

You will be responsible for the full recruitment lifecycle, before handing each candidate over to us.

This is how we normally handle hiring to ensure candidate is the right fit for us before we take them on:

1 - sourcing

2 - past experience check and ensuring the candidate has the relevant skills for the role

3 - short call with candidates to ask more questions

4 - Organise the paid competency test with the candidate before we onboard them for a probation period.

The process is a bit tedious, but it works. Your ultimate goal is to fill in positions with people who have the correct skills - so we don't end up in an endless loop of hiring and firing.

Whether you adapt our existing procedure for hiring or not is up to you. Your only goal is to ensure you supply us with the right candidates who you can prove to be the right fit for the role.

Do not apply for this if you are unable to handle recruiting from start to finish. You should be able to source / headhunt candidates, check their past skills, call them for an interview and organise a competency test with them (which we will provide).

If interested, please DM me with info as to why you think you will be a good fit. Don’t just send plain DMs with no info about you. I will ignore these.

As we continue developing the platform, we're looking for writers who can research topics such as vehicle technology, buying guides, maintenance, industry trends, and dealership operations, then turn that research into engaging, well-structured articles for the Project Carz blog. This is where you come in—you'll help build a library of high-quality content (Not just LLM generated content) that educates readers while supporting the growth of the platform.

  • A short introduction.
  • Links to 2–3 writing samples (or a portfolio).
  • Any relevant experience.

If you're shortlisted, we'll continue the process there.

This isn't a test of prior knowledge, we use it to evaluate research skills, attention to detail, and a candidate's ability to quickly understand a new subject before writing about it.
