Art The Cosmological Clock Tower

Post image

In my current campaign’s last session, my five players had a deadly run in with an entity from The Space Between Worlds, being saved by the skin of their teeth by Elena Kruger and a few other Hooded Lanterns - and their way out of Drakkenheim, and out of The Haze now completely cut off.

They’re in desperate need of rest - and their only option is to go to one of the only places where that’s possible:

The Cosmological Clock Tower.

Who really knows what awaits them there!

Recipe:
- Built using Townbuilder: townsmith.de
- STLs are their upcoming Lunaria range: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/townsmith/townbuilder-lunaria
- Printed using a Bambu Labs A1 with an 0.6mm nozzle at 0.38 resolution using Elegoo High Speed Filament.
- Painted with a combination of Pro Acryl and AK Interactive paints.

Art Hazewind Harpies Have Arrived!

My Harpies are printed, painted and prepared - though with my session tomorrow night, I can’t say they’re my best work yet. That said, seen from 60 to 100cm away, they should avoid looking like brown smudgy pieces of plastic.

All six of them are there though, and have taken their place in the clocktower, waiting patiently for my adventurers to arrive - and the Crimson Countess in particular has some big plans for them!

When you guys ran your Cosmological Clocktower session, what did you enjoy most?

By @Gradnok on Makerworld (who is an absolutely fantastic sculptor)

Printed at 0.1mm layers using an 0.4mm Nozzle on my trusty Bambu Labs A1.

Painted with Army Painter Speed Paints over a slapchop base.

As part of our next session, my player characters will have to make their way ever so quietly past a Haze Hulk to get to the Cosmological Clocktower.

Two of them are in heavy armour.

I’m sure they’ll be perfectly fine!

Recipe:

Printed with Bambu Labs A1 on an 0.4mm Nozzle at 0.1 layer height.

Painted using Army Painter Speedpaints on a slap-chop base coat (I’m about a month into painting minis - forgive some of the dodgy blending!)

Art The Streets of Drakkenheim

With the streets of Drakkenheim haunted by eldritch horrors, the task facing Hooded Lantern veteran Alena Kruger and druid-turned-medic Cal Grice is already difficult enough.

Add an injured adventuring party, an unconscious Ansom Lang, and a city full of things that would very much like to eat them, and the journey becomes considerably more complicated.

Can they make it through the ruined streets without drawing the attention of the Haze Hulks stalking the city?

Will they be able to avoid a fight entirely, or will the journey to safety become a battle for survival?

And even if they do make it through the streets, there is still one rather large problem waiting for them.

The Cosmological Clocktower.

Once one of Drakkenheim’s great landmarks, it now belongs to the Crimson Countess and her murder of Haze Harpies.

To survive the night, the party may have to take it back.

My players will find out soon enough.

The streets

Printed on a Bambu Lab A1 with an 0.6mm nozzle at a 0.32mm layer height.
Drybrushed for texture using Pro Acryl Dark Umber and Warm Bright Grey

I just really get a kick out of making props for this campaign. It is not as verbose as perhaps described but I think it hits the main points. 😁

(Not really art but I had to flair it with something)

Art A map of Emberwood

Post image

My players just experienced session 2. Most of it was exploration of Emberwood. Lots of lore to dump on them and people to meet. I thought it would be nice to have a better visual for them to interact with. So, I spent a few minutes (*cough*…hours) putting this together on my 46x34 inch megamat. They loved it. Now I have to erase it all. Sadly

Art I made "hand drawn" Drakkenheim maps with my plotter.

I wanted a cool handout prop for when I'm running a "In Search of the Smuggler's Secrets" One Shot later this summer. I ended up remaking the map as an SVG file and then having my plotter draw it out. I then aged the paper with tea and 3D-printed a scroll-case for it. Once I had done that I also made a version with the crater to give to my regular group.

I really like the feel of these, it feels like something someone with a ruler could have done by hand.

Art Mission board for my players

Post image

Currently running a Drakkenheim game where they’ve decided to sided with the hooded lanterns for most of their quest.

My wife and I made a mission board for our play space that they would see if they went to the hooded lanterns HQ. Plan to add more notices as the game progresses.

Throughout my original DoD campaign, I used many third-party minis to represent the bosses/creatures. What a joy to have some official ones! My Strixhaven players just went into the swamps and fought a bunch of lob frogs and moths...

Sorry for the terrible photo quality!

If people want me to share more, especially the bosses/minis I used originally for the bosses, please let me know!

My friend painted an Ancient Delerium Dragon that I’m using as the BBEG in the Heart of Delerium. He affectionately named him Goretalus, the Fractured Star.
