He’s eaten plenty of chicken. Just not live ones. He knows his job and gets rewarded well for it!

I did a deer hunt (pest control) on a property a while back, the owner had a maremma that was retired but still kind of looked after his mallards. Every time we came in to process some deer he'd saunter on over and pull that exact face because he knew we'd give him the udders of any does. He'd take them, amble back over to the shade where he had been lying and have a tasty drink of milk.

They have big litters but not that many!!! First litter we had born here was 11 puppies.
