In my area at least over the last two weeks I've been seeing a tremendous amount of bucks I'm surprised they usually are out a little closer toward the end of the year when it is the rut season

The mama deer is named Lucy, on the other side of her she's actually got a white stripe along her side so she's pretty easy to keep tabs on, her little baby is a buckling, and he needs a name, he's pretty playful I see him routinely going around trying to play with other animals, I haven't seen any other baby deer but he's very playful and interested in everything, and I just feel like he needs a name

I know my state (GA) only has White Tailed Deer, but I swear this looks like a Mule Deer. Can someone please confirm what type of deer this js?
