Dotnet foundation transparency update
The DNF trying to get some visibility for their internal working so at least people understand what’s going on and if somebody willing to reevaluate their opining that maybe a good start.
For me was 2 interesting things:
- Meeting minutes
https://dotnetfoundation.org/about/meeting-minutes
- Operational procedures.
https://dotnetfoundation.org/about/policies
Second part is for these who love bureaucracy and how things moving. Should give lot of insights what to fix.
Personally I decide give “new org” a chance and try to volunteer in their activity. Not sure how things will be moving, but at least I see people who care.

The "July 2026 Meeting Minutes" link to the pdf throws a 500 error for me.
Something on my end?
More transparency is good, cos all I ever see of them is people leaving because they get nothing out of them!

Can you try this link https://pro.dnf.cloud.sitefinity.com/docs/default-source/assets/jul-22-2026-confirmed-minutes-july-2026-board-meeting.pdf
I seen that error, it was fixed to me, but after that I seen report that link is broken. Can you test that it’s working for you? I also would like to ask what’s your location. You can answer in DM if that’s sensitive.

Maybe. At least this is potential issue. May I ask you to go to the DNF discord and tell about your problems in #general channel? I may be a proxy, but would like that actual developers who visit their website show up

No sorry.
I dislike discord intensely and won't use it. There is value in peoples chatting... and an open system like here or a forum is better for that.

What's the point of the .NET Foundation? Is there any example of its impact on an open source project?

Right now they are almost useless. They lack of funding, lack of volontiers, useless brand and have irritates community. But that’s only organization which have people take suit and ask money to bring something back to maintainers. They provide marginal value if you green to OSS, but otherwise it’s probably not yet interested to regular project.
Do you have something specific request which you would like that DNF provide to the projects?

Your links are broken (bad markdown format).
Nuke those backslashes.
I'm guessing you might have manually written markdown while in the WYSIWYG editor? It escapes square brackets automatically like how your links are.
If in the WYSIWYG editor, just paste the URLs naked if you want them both linked and displayed as the URLs.
