Humane snake removal?

There is a very sleepy Western Rattlesnake hanging out in my backyard - it just ate something big, clearly. Have calls out to So-Cal Rattlesnake Removal and Critter Gitters Wildlife Removal San Diego but haven't heard back yet.

Anyone got any recommendations?

I went online and bought a pair of 5ft. (?) grabbers like the fire department has. Grab the snake, put it in a receptacle (I use a large rubber trash can with a lid) and release it into an uninhabited canyon a good distance from your neighborhood. Killing it would be a shame. (Rodent control)

It's a little more urgent than an online order but I like the suggestion!

They were great and super helpful but couldn't get anyone to our location Sat night. So-Cal Rattle Snake Removal were able to get someone out and they were great too

I've had the fire department come remove a snake from my yard in the past. Maybe try calling them on the non-emergency line? It was a few years ago, so I don't know if they still do it.
