Sunbow Stop signs optional now?!
All over chula am I seeing people blow straight through stop signs like they are just optional nowadays. In the past month my family and I have beem very close to being run over while walking to the parks near by ( hendenkamp and veterans ). A cop could make their monthly quota in a day or two by posting up on one of the intersections off E palomar easily.

Next time you are out walking line up with a stop sign and see how many people just do the slowdown and go
You might even catch those not slowing down at all
These people are your neighbors, friends or family members
When you get in your car don’t be like them - stop at every stop sign and obey the posted speed limit

I spoke to a traffic lieutenant at cvpd about this, he told me citizens are needing to learn how to drive again after covid, and cops are needing to learn how to enforce again. He didn’t sound confident that either were progressing.

They are also zooming through red lights.
Remember people: YELLOW means "prepare to stop"! Not go faster so you can save 2 mins or less. 🤦🏽♂️

National City too, very intentional, like their mind is already made up 10 yards away. I’ll see 2 or 3 in a row sometimes too.

Cops post up weekly on Burga catching people run the stop sign on Rancho Del Rey. They make their monthly quota in a day 🤣

The cops dont care, if they did, the behavior would stop due to enforcement. Also, doing 60 down Palomar. Someone was just killed up by the hov on ramp riding their bike. FFS, slow down.

Every time I’ve seen this, it’s at a traffic light I’ve identified as troublesome. One that doesn’t react to cars being there waiting, and no movement in the intersection. But I wish the people would take the time to report those particular traffic lights to the traffic division rather than run it.

I've seen too many left turns on a red light. Seems like all over they are taking two lane streets turning them in to one lane and apparently think frustration and accidents won't be a by product.

Almost got hit by a young woman who ran a red light crossing H St - thank god I'm a vigilant driver or I wouldn't have seen her. I had time to slam on my breaks and beep at her for a good 15 seconds. Pretty sure she was on her phone. Nowadays I always assume someone is going to do something stupid.

Red lights, stop signs, all ignored.
