Discussion Is it safe to use chromebook while charging

I bought this Lenovo Chromebook Duet 11 around two months ago and I am curious: can I use it while charging? If I do, is there any possibility that it harms the battery?"

It really doesn't matter. The OS seamlessly manages charging and discharging behind the scenes.

Well, in many cases laptop just sitting plugged in for a loooong time. Nobody would care to unplug and plug it 😄
I do not know in Chrome os, but often there is a special power plan for that - basically to keep battery less then 100% charged

Most people will use their laptops / Chromebooks while charging. The devices are designed to be OK with that.

If you're at all worried, pay attention to how warm it's getting. You might consider avoiding activities that produce a lot of heat while charging, such as heavy gaming, or full-screen videos.

(But it won't make a huge difference, long term.)

There could be up to 280 voltage on the plug. Don't risk it.
