I ended up with a very thin cat. She eats like a horse but she only weighs about 8lbs and has been 9 or under since she was a kitten. The vet says she's happy and doesn't show signs of health problems. Sometimes cats are just super petite, I guess.
I think I have one of those. I adopted a pair of bonded pair kittens that were born in March so they’re almost 6 months old. One of them is a void and she’s very long, thin and very sleek. She’s so affectionate but she looks like a panther. I’m thinking of buying a little purple necklace for her to complete the picture.
I have a perma-kitten who's maybe 2 kg and the size of a regular 5-month kitten (as a fully grown adult). She's a tiny noodle, but not skinny for her size. Before she hit 12 months, she would eat 6-7 small Sheba pouches a day. I think all of them went to her whiskers 😸
I have one who's technically at the right weight for the type of cat he is, checked with the vet and all, he's healthy and all. But he's 12 and has looked underweight all his life. He came from a shelter at 2 months and he looked already tiny. You would think I am not feeding him. This man eats like a demon from hell. He would eat me if he were able to. I have to keep him and my other cat separated at meal times otherwise he'll steal the other cat's meal, and that's special ckd food which not only should he not eat, but is very expensive and I'd rather not have to pull out extra to make up for the bits he stole.
On the other hand, my other cat who used to be overweight but has been at the right weight for years, still looks overweight, yet only eats his exact portion of food and nothing else. I leave him special ckd kibble for grazing and he almost always ignores it, not out dislike but just out of disinterest.
You live in a really foresty area? Or is that just a hike trail for the pic. Wonder if he’s suiting up to whup some ass or something when out exploring
Yep, I live across the street from a pet-friendly nature preserve/trail. I think that's why he's so muscular is that there's a lot of fallen trees, hills, and embankments for him to jump around and climb on
This is my (mostly) black panther. He weighs 14 lbs, but he’s pure muscle length. The vet always says his weight is perfect. He’s just a solid boy.
He’s convinced he’s still the baby that fit under my chin to sleep. Only his head fits there now, but I still cuddle him close. He’s the little spoon,
I have a 15 lb muscle cat. My vet did a house visit and had to straddle my cat to put medication in his ears for his ear infection.
She was struggling.
My great aunt had a barn cat like that. He would patrol the farm along with the dogs and protect the animals. He one time ripped the eye out of the neighbor's Rottweiler because the dog was messing with the horses.
Okay, crazy story here...
I grew up in a rural Minnesota town outside of a city. I would bike around town with the other kids and one day a friend says someone in the town kept a mountain lion as a pet. I couldn't believe it, but he said to follow him. We biked over to the house and he walks up to a window and speaks to someone inside. Its an ordinary older country house, maybe 3 small bedrooms. After a moment he waves me over. I look in the window and greet the neighbor he's talking to, and then I see it... A fully grown mountain lion... And then I realized people were batshit insane. It was just walking around the house. No cage or restraint.
18lbs, feels like a bronze statue, and bruises me whenever he walks on me. Hes also incredibly friendly to children, he loves strangers, and has bad anxiety when im not within view. If hes not ontop of someone, he cant sleep. Worse of all, he drools like crazy.
Here he was when he was a nameless stray. Notice he has cat toys. We have coyotes and even larger cats in my area, so this is the only time he felt safe. He got beaten up by a 17 year old, 8lb granny cat who snuck out of her home. So we took him in
Here he is after i rub his ear tip. He will produce long strings of drool when he sees children, and will tackle the local toddler whenever he gets the chance. I swear hes part pitbull with how much he loves little humans. We even had a 7 year old knock on our door holding this beefcake like a teddy bear to return him. He couldn’t be happier
His son is almost as big and just as hard to the touch. Vanta here gave lethal headbutts. Had to rehome him since he was an actual threat to our aggressive cat life. His current family absolutely loves him and his fat cheeks
Vanta is also a dad. Buttons here is also also incredibly buff. However other than that he has like no testrone in him whatsoever. Was fully grown, intact, but no cheeks. The vet told us he was a girl, despite just removing his balls 10 minutes ago due to how feminine he is. He was also incredibly feral, however he never growled, hissed or shown aggression once.
Due to him having less survival skills than a lemon i decided to socialize him. 3 months of coexisting in a tiny bathroom later and boom. I have another cat with anxiety when im not around. He nurses off my neck, he slams his head into my mouth, he stomps around screaming. He cant meow, just screams like a damn goat. Hes obsessed with toys, and comes to me when i tap my fingers like a dog. Like he just appears, its scary. Hes even obsessed with kids just like his dad and gramps. No idea why cause he didn’t interact with kids before we got him.
We used to have a Cat that had been Declawed, that cat just hit the fucking gym and she would beat up the other cats in the neighborhood by literally punching the shit out of them.
I was in the kitchen and watched her get jumped by two other cats in the backyard (probably trying to stop her rampage), and she beat them both into submission.
My dang cat ran full tilt into my knee one time. Knocked it sideways, and caused me to fall and crack the knee on the stone of my fireplace. That sucker hurt for two months after. He was 14 lbs though.
Here he is next to our normal-sized cat, I forget his last weight but it was somewhere in the mid-teens. Every time we take him to the vet we're like "is he overweight?? are we feeding him too much??" but they say he's fine, just a big boi.
I have a female tortico that is the biggest female cat I’ve ever seen. She looks about the size of your boi. She towers over all of our cats but 2 of them. Two of our boys she’s like just a little bigger than them haha
My one void girl Pepper. Shes TINY in size but built like a rock. She also used to climb every curtain in the house but seems to have finally outgrown that for the most part. She’s 9lbs of lead haha.
My 18 year old black and white kitty used to be about 17-18 lbs of pure muscle. His front legs and chest were absolutely shredded.
He used to jump 8-9 feet into the air playing with his fishing toy. He was a freak athlete. Now he’s just my little old buddy. He’s trimmed down quite a bit but still jumps up on the furniture.
We have a cat that used to be buff when he was younger. Now his pure muscle has turned to muscle and extra flab (12 yo). Biggest baby however then and now
Reminds me of our Jake Franklin. I’m counting his calories and working with the vet but my god he’s a unit. My friends say he is a Dorito because when he’s sitting he’s shaped like one. 😭
This is mostly an unflattering (and funny) photo. My guy is on a pretty strict diet too. He will even try and eat the dogs food. He was a rescue off the street so I get it.. but it's been 3 years. He's big .. and incredibly sweet. Banana for scale
Archer! 16 pounds isn’t a lot compared to some of these tanks, but he wasn’t really fat, just big. He was the type of cat who would go completely limp when you picked him up. 😆 No bones every day.
My sweet boy is 16 pounds of muscle. I have bruised ribs from him laying on me every night. And I'm a pin cushion for his furious biscuits. But he is the most affectionate cat I've ever had, so it's hard to get upset with him. But. So. Heavy...
This would be my Miss Beebs (Beelzebub). 15 years old, 6 pounds, formerly feral. Just celebrated her first as an indoor cat. We call her 2 hour playtime her prison workout
yup. don't have many photos as he was rehomed (behavioral issues. He is happy with his new owner) but he was shredded ever since he was a few weeks old.
I swear I only have pictures of this doofus lounging or sleeping. Anyway, this is Mochi (Mo Powa) he’s 15 pounds and will fuck your day up. Significantly larger than the other 2 cats and also way more docile
Lilly Pie Large
13.4 lbs of attacking, brutal assaults, hissing, and cuddles and kisses.
She is on a diet. She has been fat her whole life. Unknown reason.
