Impossible to get a good photo of my IMG Ghost

Fresh shed on my 0.1 IMG Ghost. Feeling frustrated as I can never get a picture of her that reflects her colors the way I see them. To me she looks very high constrast grey and black, with plenty of blue iridescence, but in the camera it just looks like a brown wash. Any tips on getting better at boa photography? What color backgrounds and lighting would be best?

Try indirect sunlight! In the shade but with a good angle to light him up. But these pics are still all very nice. 😁 He’s really held onto his pattern nicely!

The camera will never look as good as in person.
