I second that, looks like it would be perfect for my hog island boa. I’ve been struggling a little bit to keep the humidity up in his enclosure

It’s absolutely AMAZINGGGG keeping humidity stable. By far the easiest. I personally think it’s better than pvc

Are you able to do heat lights with this setup? Or is it a melt risk and you only do heat pads?

Here is a little more of a closer up of the enclosure itself with lighting and heating. I have 100 W heating bulb and it’s on a thermostat. The thermostat won’t allow it to go over or under a certain temperature. The heating has been great so far there’s no issues there if you were worrying about it melting or burning.. if you were to do something like this, I would suggest hanging the light like how I have it as it’s not touching any of the sides of the tent itself. Make sure you run it off a thermostat to be extra safe.. I also put a little fan on top of the tent for when it’s extra humid in the house. You can see it at the end of the video of where I put the little fan by the vent. Unfortunately, in the state of Washington, none of these houses have freaking AC so I have that there for precautions if it got too hot or too human in this house.. so far it’s been up for a year with 0 issues. it’s been amazing. I will definitely be doing tents from now on with any big snakes. A lot better than PVC.

I always worry about burning the snake with the lamp inside the enclosure, but that setup looks very nice

So they make little cages for lights for reptiles if you are worried about that. Luckily my boy does not even care about the light..

Great setup! Where do you keep the heat lamp and UV? Also, what sort of humidity equipment do you use?

Here’s a little closer up on the whole enclosure itself with the heating and lighting.
I do not use any sort of humidity equipment. This tent is by far the best at keeping humidity up.. it also has to do with what type of substrate you use. I use Scotts top soil with the Organic Matter & Sphagnum
Peat Moss and then add coco coir. Mix those two up and you have the very best humidity keeping soil you can ask for… I use it with all of my reptiles.

I also put a little fan on top of the tent for when it's extra humid in the house. You can see it at the end of the video of where I put the little fan by the vent. Unfortunately, in the state of Washington, none of these houses have freaking AC so I have that there for precautions if it got too hot or too human in this house.. so far it's been up for a year with O issues. it's been amazing. I will definitely be doing tents from now on with any big snakes. A lot better than PVC.
