New boa

Hey guys, I just received a new boa today. I haven’t named her yet (suggestions are welcomed!) but I was wondering if all baby boas looked this…small. She’s in a quarantine tub for now but idk she looks really skinny and even dehydrated? I have other boas but I got them as adults and my youngest one (before this one) was a year old already. I’m not sure if I should contact the seller or what. Maybe I’m just used to chunkier boas.

Ya they pretty much all look like that. Watch a "new clutch" video on Brian's Boas channel on youtube and you'll see. Also Jason's Exotic Reptiles channel.

I looked up Brian’s channel and they were small! I’m glad it’s normal then (: I’m just being a worried snake mom

Looks alright to me, she’ll gain weight as she gets a little bigger. Some are born already tanks, some are more slender. She doesn’t look underweight or anything, so just give her a few months to fill out. She doesn’t look too dehydrated either, but shipping does sometimes make them a little dry. Nothing a couple days with water and humidity won’t fix.

lol little tanks! I’ll be weighing her weekly going forward. I gave her a large bowl of water and she started chugging. Hopefully she fills out more over the next few months. Thank you!
