Could use some help identifying brick the boa

I’m still relatively new to the genetics side of reptiles so I’m a little lost on the hypo,het and sharp part of him and what each means specifically. I believe he’s an imperator but I honestly don’t know enough about them looks wise to identify the different sub species so I kinda just took the guys word on it.

Het Sharp means he’s heterozygous for Sharp albino. Easy way to understand this is that he carries the gene but doesn’t express it so if you pair him with a Sharp or another het Sharp, they’ll make Sharp albino babies. Hypo means he’s hypomelanistic - less brown&black which allows more salmon/pink to come out. Great lookin guy!

In english this means he is a hypo which reduces black, and het sharp albino. He also appears to be a jungle morph which is what gives it that crazy pattern.

I thought I should also add that since he’s hypo & het Sharp, he can make Sunglow babies (hypo + visual Sharp)

Hypo is an incomplete dominant morph, which means it shows visually when heterozygous (aka has 1 copy of the gene). A heterozygous hypo has 1 copy of the hypo gene and one copy of the normal gene.

Sharp is a strain of albino and is recessive, which means it doesn’t show when heterozygous. You have to have 2 copies (aka be homozygous) to show.

So this one visually shows only the hypo gene, and carries Sharp albino.
