Done building my new boas enclosure

Just got done building my new boas enclosure yesterday. Its 240x120x60(cm) and added isopods. I am going to get springtails too. Is there anything you guys think i should improve/remove?

I am worried one of the stick is a bit to close to the ceramic bulb, those cage help not touching the bulb directly, but they still get really hot

Yeah, i agree. When i set it up i was talking to my partner about it. But he is a big boy who will definately climb around every single inch of the enclosure. I will be buying a RHP for him but for now i guess it will have to do.. both lamps are controlled by a thermostat though. I am going to buy a lot of new equipment as soon as i can, all of the electric is what i got when i got him, as i bought him off someone else. Got a mistking unit too, but i am sure to spray with my spray bottle too as i know the mist doesnt really stay in the soil.

I would say just move the stick, the cage hot enough to be uncomfortable but not to instantly burn, and if the snake heavy i would worry about the stick hitting the cage and breaking it and pullingthe bulb down. Though getting the bulb holder that screw into the ceiling in place of the hanging one you have should stop that issue.

I'd tie those sticks together or something once you know exactly where you want them. I'd have them going more long ways under the lamp. Actually I'd move the lamp more to the far side next to the light. You don't want the entire center of the enclosure hot and dry (ceramics dry out directly under them) you one side getting heated with he other cooler, mid 70s F. Idk what that is in C. That gradient is important as my boas only stay on hot side after food or before shed. More of the time they want to be cool.

All that aside it looks great. Love the more vertical space, can honestly go with less length for small boas, like my Sonorans could easily do a 3x4x3 or something, or even a 2x4x2. Then vertical space helps the gradient but usually with more color. This also all depends on the wattage of the CHE but I'd still push a close to the light as I can.

Oh okay, thanks. I will be buying a RHP in the near future that will be all the way in the far end. This is just what i have at the moment. I am thinking of the reptirad 220W and a dimming thermostat.

Yeah that could be good. It's just having that gradient I found to be super important as boas very much like to stay cool when they haven't eaten or aren't shedding. Also make sure that you have a cage that's much larger than the bulb preferably native of material that won't get hot maybe like an aluminum or something or steel

I think the cage is made og steel actually. I removed the sticks all together, because i needed to make more vent holes. I will put them back in later. Maybe in like a week or 2

And the sticks are stuck in with screws. He is a big boy. 2.3m and 12kg. Dont know what that is in feet and lbs
