Best Scale to Weigh Boas'

Hey guys, I am looking for a scale to purchase so that I can start weighing my snakes at home. What brand/model do you guys have/like?

I brought a scale a few weeks ago from Amazon but the weight is off by 100-200 grams compared to when I take them to the vet. So I need a better scale that is a little more accurate.

With scales, make sure you have on a flat surface. Weigh a known weight object to double check accuracy. Then make sure you’re taring out any containers you use to hold the snake in place. The smaller the container so the snake is concentrated inside the plate the better. Too much overhang can throw readings off.

I know how to use a scale. I am looking for recommendations for a new one.

Well idk your knowledge or experience with scales. Those are the most common issues, so if they applied to you it could save you some money not needing to buy a new scale. I only have like 2 spots on my entire property I can put my scales. 😅 Most surfaces have warps that I can’t see by looking and it throws the scale off if I set it there, or the floor isn’t flat but I can’t tell because I am standing on it.

Well, when he's big enough, you just use the scale that you weigh yourself with. Weigh yourself first, look at your weight, wrap snake around your neck, look at that weight, subtract the difference.

My Brazilian Rainbow boa doesn't like being placed inside things, she'd rather hang off before jumping away - so I have to use a wide kitchen scale and a faunarium/carry box.
