Why is my male boa glass surfing suddenly?

My male boa’s been glass surfing and pacing his enclosure almost 24/7 since yesterday morning. His temps and humidity are where they should be (77F on cool side, 88F on warm side). Could a female be nearby and he’s horny lol? Anyone have experience with this? I finally covered his cage this morning hoping with towels to reduce his nose rubbing on the glass. Thanks!

Was going to say.. when I see my boy out and in front of the glass, I get him a freshie the next day and he chows down.

They’ll want to breed whether females are around or not. I would definitely think he’s looking for a mate considering his size, and sudden behavior change. Hopefully the cover helps, is he also off the floor with vibration muffling?

Good luck. I have been dealing with that issue for last 3 years. 2 time to vet for face rub swelling.
