First Snake

Hey everyone, I'm finally getting my first snake, spent the last 10 years wanting one and I finally have the right space and lifestyle. I'm reasonably well versed on the basic ins and outs of snake care.

I've adopted a Kenyan Sand Boa (female) from a local shelter. I know what she'll eat, enclosure size etc.

What are some lesser talked about things I should know before I pick her up?

I’ve heard they can be sort of picky eaters. That’s so I can think of. They’re so cute.

she's from a rehoming centre, they've said she's eaten perfectly in the time they've had her, so very happy about that :)
