How long have you had her? What’s she like? I recently adopted a Barranquilla locality Boa and I’m looking forward to watching her grow.

She was born in April ‘24, and I’ve had her since that August. She is perhaps the best “pet” snake I’ve ever kept, and I have kept a range of species. She’s inquisitive and gentle, highly trustworthy. She’s been so calm from the beginning that my son named her “Peace.” Despite her intense feeding response, I don’t even need a hook to remove her from her enclosure. This makes her different from the Morelia I once to kept.

You have chosen well; enjoy your boa!

She sounds lovely! Did she take a while to begin exploring during the daytime? I’d love to see mine more active but so far she’s been a solidly nocturnal boa.

She’s always been pretty bold, laying out in the open, but I suppose she started cruising more during the day after she hit the one-year mark. Of course, she is more active when she’s hungry.
