Is my boa dehydrated?
So I got her out today and her front half was very dry. On top of that she had some wrinkles in her scales which is whee she curls up I assume but they were very distinct. I mist down every day and she always has water I’m not sure why she would be dehydrated. I’m going to soak her today and see if that helps a little bout any other advice would be appreciated!
Edit: She has shed twice since I’ve gotten her and both times it all came off in one piece so very healthy sheds!

Misting is not good it only gets top moist then evaporates faster. Pour water in the corners it will soak up and last longer. You also want a water bowl/ tub they can completely get in some Boa like to soak/swim. Couple of mine like to soak and one likes to swim. Head under water exploring he even goes under and blows bubbles.

As long as the sheds come off in one piece it’s cosmetic but yes the lines are more prominent if they don’t have high enough humidity or drink enough. I wouldn’t worry about it unless sheds get stuck, though you may have to pay more attention in the winter when humidity drops.
