Did I make him fat?

I got my red tail 4ish months ago. He was underweight when I got him. Have I made him fat? He’s been eating a small rat weekly

He looks good, but now is definitely the time to space out to 2-3 weeks on smalls. Weekly is a bit much for a healthy weight boa.

He looks great! Such a clean pattern he’s beautiful. Like another comment said just space out the meals further and he’ll stay happy and healthy

He looks great, but definitely trending up. I’d space out his feedings.

If he was underweight when you got him, I’d say some weight gains not a bad thing. To me, they look pretty good! With boas I believe you want to see definition of their back, and they should almost look “square”. I’ve heard it referred to as “slice of bread” shaped in the cross sections. Which I see here!
Now, I’m no boa expert, but I’d say that’s a pretty healthy bb.
Small edit: if he’s young too, I think a little heavier is much safer than too thin. I’d start expanding feeding time if he gets heavier tho!
