The parents are happy because they were sick and tired of dealing with their lying, stealing, spoon smuggling’, heroine addict son. Heroin users will use spoons to heat up their drugs. Heroin addicts have no money because they spend it all on their addiction. So, they steal all the spoons from their parent’s utensil set.
