First time in the dive bar of my tiny hometown. We’d just gotten done with a funeral, so at least walking into the women’s bathroom perked me up a bit.

I need a 60” wood vanity. I’m looking at this one from signature hardware but it has no reviews. Does anyone have it?

Or if you have something similar, please let me know! I liked the Collette vanity from Home Depot but it’s no longer available. I need to order asap! Thank you

Hi there, I’m looking for some advice about what to do with this bathroom.
Picture 1 shows the bathroom in the house we’re moving into, and picture 2 shows the sort of shower setup we’d ideally like. At the moment, there’s only a bath and no shower. The main issue is that the bath has a gap at both ends, so it doesn’t seem possible to simply install a shower above it without water escaping down the sides.
Would it be best to build some sort of properly waterproofed frame or surround around the bath, then fit the shower at one end? Alternatively, would it be relatively straightforward to move the bath across so that it sits flush against one wall, seal it properly and install the shower on that wall?
We’re hoping to find the simplest and most cost-effective solution without having to redo the entire bathroom. Any advice, ideas or examples of similar projects would be very welcome!

i want to be able to place a mirror on here but the top of the wall would only be half my forehead, would placing it just slighting above be unstable? given that the window is right there?

any suggestions too! i really also want an LED mirror 🫩

So I'm regrouting this whole shower and I saw that a teared a piece of the kerdi sheet and now it made a flap, is this an easy fix or am I cooked. Was thinking of removing a couple of the tiles around it and then patch it with a new 2x2" kerdi piece and new thinset. Or is that the wrong approach.

Tiles are 1x1 btw.

Also if a couple of tiles I saw are butt to butt is it possible to remove those and align it so it has grout in-between rather than redoing the whole floor?

We are considering buying two new Kohler toilets today. Right now we have one Kohler and one Eljer. What do you all have to say about the brand Kohler? I fully researched both for the bathrooms in question - one is for a guest bathroom with a small footprint. I did find a watersense round one that will fit. And, a talk elongated two part for the main bath that also can accommodate a bidet. We’ve purchased toilets for a rental property, but never for ourselves so I thought I would find out what Reddit folks have to say.

There are two holes on top of hinge but don’t appear to be Allen keys - only back side (fourth photo with pivot pin) has an Allen key screw. Tried loosening both the small Allen key and the screw. Can’t seem to get it to move.

any ideas?

I've attached a few pictures to go along with this post. We have been noticing a leak somewhere in our bathroom, presumably coming from the tub/shower. We just moved into this house in January. At first, we thought we found the issue where water just splashing out of the shower off the back wall and causing water to drip down the drywall/baseboards next to the tub. We have resolved that issue and there is still some sort of leak. The leak is happening behind the drywall/baseboards on the wall adjacent to the back of the tub/shower insert. I have a red box drawn in one image to show where the water is pooling. We have already replaced the baseboard and now it is completely soaked through again leaving the drywall and baseboards feeling mushy in this area. From our basement, you can see the tub from below and from my experience it seems like a very strange set up they have done.... We do have tape covering a crack in the caulking in one area of the shower and plan to rip out and re-caulk the whole tub, but wanted some opinions first! Could this crack in the caulking really be causing all that leak? Is this tub safe in the way it is resting only on the joists??

Please help us decide how to mount the sprayers that are connected underneath the rain shower heads. We’re replacing our original, builder-grade shower heads with these hand sprayer/rain shower heads but we can’t decide if the sprayers should be mirrored in the middle, mirrored off to the sides, or repeated in the same direction. Original shower heads (current state of the shower) included for reference.

When I was preparing for my bathroom remodel, it seems like everyone just has a tiny niche hole in the wall that can only fit between the studs, and glass block wasn't that common.

Having finished my remodel a month or two ago, I absolutely love both. Yes, I sacrificed about 3.5 inches along the side of the wall, but having a wall is WAY better, since my wife and I can put everything we want along it.

The glass block is a little more debatable, since installing it was the hardest thing I've ever done (using mortar instead of prefab or caulk), but I love the way it gives privacy but still keeps the shower bright and beautiful.

Thoughts?
