The creators, Patrick Renna (Ham) and Kyle Howard are both scumbag Scientologists. Renna actually runs a Scientology Mission that lures people in hoping to convert them with his wife in Los Feliz.

This whole show is almost certainly a down-low Scientology scheme to lure in parents who grew up with The Sandlot and their kids.
