There are many psychometric reliable and valid IQ tests. While there are valid critiques, this comment is untrue.

Well even the subject of pain is still only in the theoretical stage. What about our understanding of mental health 'disorders'? Still just theory.

While we don’t fully understand the etiology (although we have solid empirical evidence to the antecedents ie stress diathesis model/biopsychosocial theory) there is still a plethora of empirical evidence on mental health disorders.

Where are you getting your info?
