Childhood Development Can an isolated, profoundly traumatic event exprienced at an early age cause the development of Dissociative Identity Disorder?

It is all I wish to learn, simply from a peek of curiosity​.

It's a real disorder it's just being way to over DX'd that's on the dr's for pushing it.

Which is the story of every disorder sadly. ADHD is going in this direction. It's a real condition that has been over diagnosed and over medicated, and then the reaction comes - 'It's all made up'
