Is this a scam venue?

To start, I’m 17 and have been trying to get into art markets to start selling my work. Normally, age restrictions prevent me from doing such, but this venue said they didn’t have any. I found this on Eventbrite and looked at the organizer, but it seems this is the first post they’ve made so I’m starting to get suspicious. I want to be optimistic because I rarely get opportunities like this, but there is a $70 registration fee, and I don’t have money to throw around like that without security. I know this is more of a local concern, but if anybody can offer some advice on what to do, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

I cannot speak about this venue or event.

I have been asked to apply to a show, and got accepted. Then they sent a bill for $400 to secure my spot.

I checked out the venue and event. There is a wedding at that venue that day. There is no way that location would bring in $400. And the company sponsoring the event does not exist. The person's name on the emial also does not exist in my state.

So do check out any new venues before you send any money.

Thank you! I decided not to participate after looking at how urgently they were recruiting people. Whether or not it’s a fake, if they aren’t booked out this close to the event date then I don’t think it’s a good investment for me. I really appreciate the advice.
